[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit for my elderly grandmother who refused to use the ac. First i gotta say how quiet it is. I was surprised how little sound came out of the AC. Very happy with that
The WiFi feature is a little spotty. I am able to remote control it and set it on a schedule. However the unit itself disconnects from the WiFi and i have to go there and reconnect again , little annoying
Still give this unit TWO THUMBS UP!!!

Really quiet, but smells. Was the unit new?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this unit is really quiet and works well, but whenever the unit blows air with only the fan, it has this thick musty air coming from it. It was there since the very beginning (I bought it brand new), and I thought that it would get better as time went on, but the smell persists. Oh it also did have some scratches on the bottom of the unit even as I opened it from the box.

It's loud-ish, but good luck finding one that isn't.
The app isn't as bad as some reviews say.

8000 btu quiet temp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a window unit, this thing is quiet. Yes, you do have noise from the compressor, fan, and outlet air, but they are slight. I like that the panel turns off after a few seconds as it is bright. I Don't use the WiFi option, so I can't comment on that. I've only had it for 2 months now and I'm interested to see how long it lasts.

Extremely Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 2 weeks ago to replace a 20+ year old unit that was just plain tired. When I initially turned it on it took probably 5 min till the compressor kicked in, I was worried that I'd gotten a defective unit. After it did finally turn on it got really cold, the unit is extremely quiet to the point where if you don't know it's turned on because the display turns off automatically after 30s you have to put your hand in front the vent to feel the air coming out! It has WiFi control but that's not something that made me purchase this unit, I wanted a quiet unit and certainly got that! So far I'm very happy with my purchase so time will tell how reliable it is.

Bummer since it was over 100 degrees here in Texas! Really liked the Midea's quiet feature and wanted something close. Frigidaire fit the bill nicely.
Quiet, features I want plus more, COLD air, STRONG fans, quick cooling of the upstairs bedroom. Menopause step back......Frigidaire to the rescue!
Very happy with the purchase and HIGHLY recommend.

Quietest on the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two previous generation 6k Frigidaire Quitet Temp models & although newer 8k model is slightly louder this is still the best quietest unit on the market. It doesn't get quite as cold as a GE I tried but the supposed quiet GE was so loud it got returned. I don't care for the updated grill on this second generation model. It doesn't direct the air flow by sucking from the floor & out the top. I also wish Frigidaire would return the 8 way directional out grill as the 4 way is fairly useless. I would definitely purchase this again because it's the only unit that is quiet enough to sleep when you are a sensitive sleeper. The filter needs improvement as there's lots of ways for dust to go around it.
