Way too expensive for what it is.

The AC it self seems fine except nothing works on the face. The "buttons" aren't even buttons and they don't work. So I can't adjust the temp on the unit or connect to the wifi. The plastic in front is really cheap and flimsy. Don't waste your money on this. Just get a regular old 10,000 BTU unit for less.

Non functional touch pad

Beat all my expectations - quiet, amazing cooling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy that I bought this unit when I did. I'm not certain if this is similar to other units in the past, or they've updated the technology and quietness of these units (this was my first experience with a window unit). I have central A/C in my house, but I have one large room that overheats. The unit was easy to install (~1 hour?). The app works well and similar to a Nest or other thermostat app.
Most importantly, it is quiet! I barely notice it if I'm watching TV. I also can't hear it from outside, so it's not annoying to neighbors or passersby, which was something I was worried about.
The cooling works well and it doesn't stay on very long to cool my room, which is ~17'x15', with a couple fridges and a lot of media/computer equipment producing heat.
I highly recommend this. My best purchase in 2020!

Good AC, Terrible App, Leaves Gaps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ac itself is great. It's quite and looks nice. I'm deducting two stars for several reasons:
1) The app stinks. Either that or the ac itself disconnects from wifi. The smart feature is basically unusable, so don't pay extra for that. It took me over an hour to set it up the first time, and after a day's use it disconnected and refuses to reconnect.
2) The bars on bottom rattle. I had to tape it to the body of the ac with clear tape. Not a dealbreaker but it should be fixed.
3) It fits poorly into the window. Unless you have a wooden frame to screw it into--which who does nowadays?--you won't be able to screw it in. My window frames are metal, and the ac just sits there with a large gap around the sides where the fanned section sticks out where light, bugs, and hot hair comes in. I tried stuffing it with the foam they supply but a) it's black b) didn't fill the gap. Right now I have it stuffed with paper towels, which got soaked during the last rain, and had to go buy white foam I hope will work. They need to design ac for people in apartment buildings or in houses built after 1930.
4) It turns on and off a lot. There should be a way to disable to thermostat so it just continuously pumps air in regardless of room temp.

Quiet and effective AC. App is terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Please update the app - it crashes constantly and registering products is buggy. You actually have to put an address in the website, then enter it exactly as it is in the app. Very poor development. Also once it is setup, connecting is shotty. Most times app crashes on open. I change location settings to never, and it seems to solve but app still crashes.

Won't Hold Settings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I understand that every time I turn it on it has to start in eco mode. BUT, it won’t retain the other settings from when it was turned off. Every time it’s turned on the temp is set to ‘72’ and the fan is set to ‘Auto’. This very aggravating and inconvenient, considering returning it.

After some time running, however, it should remember your settings and automatically resume operating at those settings when power is restored to your unit. I hope this information helps!
