My experience with the new generation Frigidaire ac

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I'm going to start saying it's it is a beautiful design it's not as heavy as the previous one 56lb.. it is the most quiet AC unit I own to date.. you could barely hear anything or course when you have it on low fun.. so I had the most quietly sleep I ever had in a long time..I do like the new swing option since the previous model didn't have it.. this model is not bad but I like the last model before it was much much easier to take out the cover for the filter.. installing through the app was very easy like the ones before this model.. so I got the AC working very quick with the app.. one negative that came with this unit it seems to be defective is the touch sensitive.. only the power button and. Swing works fine everything else you have to push it extremely hard for it to actually active.. it must be a defect of the company or the manufacturer have to check why it has that problem

Great for my tiny Manhattan Apartment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this AC and so far it’s great! It’s quiet and cools down my entire studio apartment quickly. It was easy to install and I love the dehumidifying feature. My only critique is that the buttons on the front are not easy to push and it took me about 2 minutes to finally be able to push the WiFi button to set up the app. Overall though, I’m very happy with it!

Way too expensive for what it is.

The AC it self seems fine except nothing works on the face. The "buttons" aren't even buttons and they don't work. So I can't adjust the temp on the unit or connect to the wifi. The plastic in front is really cheap and flimsy.
Don't waste your money on this. Just get a regular old 10,000 BTU unit for less.

Okay, but not as quiet as our larger Frigidaire

We bought this because we love our Frigidaire Quiet Temp 8000 BTU model. This one is supposed to be 4db quieter and we chose it for that reason to put in our bedroom. After we installed we could immediately tell it was not quieter. We measured it with a decibel meter compared to the other one and it’s actually 5db louder. Not only that but the sound profile is an unpleasant pulsating buzz. We feel like the product was misrepresented and there’s nothing we can do about it now. It does blow cold air so in that regard it works.

So quiet but powerful

Quiet and efficient!

The room we've put it in is smaller than the suggested room size and it's perfect for us who love it cold. We live in Florida and it's making our situation with our regular AC unit dying a little less traumatic. Great buy!

Super cold, quiet and easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit to replace a 15K BTU window unit that had finally died. I could not believer how QUIET this one is. Even if I hadn't been replacing an old rattling unit, this one is super quiet, even on high. It also cools extremely well. I have a room where two sides are all windows, and it faces east and gets lots of sun, and this 8K BTU has no problem cooling down the room. I knew the 15K was overkill but I was trying to compensate for the windows and sun. By the room size calculation, 6K was supposed to be enough but I went with the next step higher because of the sun and heat in the room. 8K BTU is plenty. This was also very easy to install. I had it in and everything screwed in by 30 minutes. It also has WIFI which I don't particularly need, but one nice feature; if I go to bed or leave the house and forget to turn the AC off, I can use my phone to turn it off. You can set up a schedule for it to turn on and off as well, which is nice. So it's definitely a great air conditioner and I highly recommend it if it fits your needs.
