Had this blue ray player for about 8 months and it started to freeze. Did a Factory reset and still froze up. Wouldn't recommend Sony for Blue Ray players at alI. registered my product online, completed info with purchase date etc and they will not replace unless I have a SALES Receipt, which best buys ink receipts vanish and dry up with time. I have original packaging/box with registering it online.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i purchased this today to connect to netflix and that will not happen because your product is not set up in install a passwork for the internet.

this was a replacement for another sony blu ray player that was also malfunctioning and eventually broke. after only about two uses of this replacement and trying a third time it is not working. I don't think I even used the dvd feature itself. poor quality. hope the sony tv I just purchased wont go through this as well
I love the feature to play many formats of video files from USB storage. This is absolutely better picture quality than Google Chromecast. But this is a budget model, so doesn't have Wi-Fi function.
