Wonderful Alternative to upgrading a whole TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absoutley love this dvd player! So convient and love the fact that I didn't have to upgrade my entire TV just to have the basics! I am so excited to have netflix and youtube in my room now, along with so much more! You can wire this to your internet box, or do it wirelessly with an HDMI cord (not included). You can also download other apps to your dvd player to have them conveniently available for you! I am so happy with it! It's a wonderful dvd player, and great quality!

Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that it is sleek and small. Easy to place near my tv and does not take up that much room. It is easy to hook up and easy to use. Had no problem setting it up and it works great for both Blu-ray and DVDs.

Remote is Bulky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality was clearer than a gaming system we have and use to play dvd/blu-ray discs. The set up was easy, although there was a lot of settings in the menu to choose from during the set up. It also did not come with an ethernet cable which took a bit of time to locate one. I was not a fan of the size and shape of the remote. It felt big in the palm of my hand and only had one streaming service you could easily access on the remote.
I liked the hidden door of how it opens to insert the disk. The face of the player dropped down and then the tray slid out. It is an ideal device for a non-smart television because of the access to streaming platforms as well as the blu-ray capabilities. However, if you have a smart television it is just a glorified blu-ray dvd player in the end.

Plays DVDs too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not own a Blu-ray disc player so I was excited to try out the Sony Blu-ray Disc Player. I like how small this Blu-ray disc player as it is 9 1/8 in. X 7 3/4 in. X 1 9/16 in.. I first tried out a Blu-ray disc and it worked great and was easy to use. Then since one of the DVDs we had didn't work in our current set up, I thought I'd try it in this Blu-ray disc player and it worked! So I was very happy about this. The operating instructions are easy to read and it shows you that it can also play CDs too and a lot of different types of files (video, music, and photo) and ways it can play (disc, USB device, and via a network). Some how this Blu-ray disc player can access Netflix but since we don't use that service I am unsure how that feature works. The player itself it great and would of received five stars except this model (BDP-S1700) does not come with a High Speed HDMI Cable. Luckily, we managed to have an extra one to connect it to our TV. Otherwise, it would not have worked. I look forward to now be able to view Blu-ray discs with the Sony Blu-ray Disc Player.

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To begin with, this Blu-ray Disc player has so many amazing features. I can see my favorites movies and videos in 3D and HD edition. The image quality is excellent. I can also stream some of my favorites apps like Netflix and YouTube with this player. Another great feature is that it lets you cast content from any smart device to my TV. It also have a USB port where you can connect your smart devices and watch or listen to your favorite songs. Overall I really recommend this amazing disc player.

Very clear, easy to use, not bulky, nice and thin, looks great next to my television. I would recommend the Sony Blu-Ray Player to anyone who likes high quality and great feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought DVDs were dead i got this dvd player to watch all my old movies. Its so much more then a DVD player. I love i can stream netflix and youtube along with others to my TV. It has great picture quality is lightweight and compact, put it any where it wont be in the way. It is very easy to use and to set up comes with a remote which is a great feature. I am very happy to have gotten this i like to watch movies a lot and hate commercials so with this DVD player i can watch what i want to.. The unit is very quiet, buttons function nicely. The remote lets you control what you need to. If you like to stream to your TV and still have your DVD player this is a must have. The price is very reasonable and the quality of the unit is perfect i would recommend this.
