I bought this DVD player several weeks back and last Saturday I turned it on and it locked up. It would not play the DVD and would not turn off, nothing seemed to work so I took it back to the store for a refund.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a lot of room on the cabinet holding our TV. We have a nice, compact Bose TV Speaker and wanted a small DVD player that could fit nicely behind and to the side of the TV. This one is a very good size, looks sharp, and works well. A bit difficult to set up; very important to follow the steps in order. Remote is not at all as clean and sharp looking as the unit.

Many options available on this player but I only need it for the Blu Ray dvds.
No wifi but it does have a card & usb reader.
HDMI hookup for a vivid picture.

My sam***** stopped working with very little use. Sony has always been dependable with their products. Hey, I should know, I have one of their first transistor radios...IT STILL WORKS after 60 years! Yes, I am that old.

I bought this unit a few months ago. It stopped working after about 10 hours of use. Getting this resolved through Sony was painful until after two hours on the phone they finally agreed to honor the warrantee and take it back.
