Hi, Mike, We are sorry for what happened to your Blu-ray player. To isolate the issue, we can perform a power reset:

1. Power off your player.
2. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and wait for 60 seconds.
3. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
4. Power on your Blu-ray player.

I can not get it to play the movie without the audio being on and that is annoying having the audio description going. Not a fan of it not being wireless especially now a day's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get this Blu-ray DVD player, but when I was setting it up I was disappointed. First, it says that the HDMI cable is supposed to be included and it was not which meant I had to go buy one to hook this up to use it. Next, it is a wired internet player so I assumed the LAN would be in the box and it also wasn't included so I had to get one of those, but the internet part seems to be optional so I suppose you could go without that. I really like the style of the player and it is lightweight so it's easy to move around, but the remote is just awful in my opinion and needs a complete overhaul.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
