I bought the Pro Duo before Thanksgiving 2024 because I was cooking 2 briskets simultaneously and expected this to work beautifully. I've cooked two more briskets since then.
For all 3 cooks, the base gave me a "low battery" warning during the cook even though I had charged it fully overnight. For all 3 cooks, I've had to use an external battery to keep it powered.
For yesterday's cook, Probe #2 did not work at all (still doesn't). I followed the online instructions - washed it and even used fine grit sand paper, used the reset button, put it back in the base, etc. - no good. I called Meater for help yesterday when probe #2 was not working. I spoke with a sympathetic lady who took all of my information down, but I was not helped at all. (I was supposed to get an e-mail right away but it still has not come.) Probe #2 is still not working.
I also noticed 2 days ago that the base was flashing lights even though I wasn't using it. So I charged it ovenight again, even though it should have had a full charge. It still gave me the "low battery" warning during yesterday's cook!
My wife commented that these briskets are the worst I've ever cooked (overcooked), even though I have changed almost nothing else. It feels like they are not reading correctly, even thought the app says they were calibrated.

Thank you for your review of the MEATER Pro Duo. I saw on your case that you were contacted, and this issue was resolved by updating your firmware and then doing a reset. Please ensure that both probes remain docked in the charger. Open the back panel of the charger and hold the reset button down for 2–3 seconds at most. The two LED lights at the front of the charger should both light up and then clear. Check out this link to learn more about low battery warnings. https://support.meater.com/helper?how-can-we-help=product-support&which-product-type=gen-two&pro-collection-help=not-working&what-issue=charging-issue If you still need help, please contact us and one of our agents will be happy to help. https://support.meater.com/contact-us/
Bought this as an upgrade having the WiFi capability. It did not disappoint! Works so accurately and also accurately predicts time until done cooking. The WiFi did work very well.
Wifii connection keeps dropping / I would not recomend purchase

Thank you for your review of the MEATER Pro Duo. If it keeps dropping connection, it is most likely a range issue. The Probe has a range of 33 feet/10m in open air (line of sight). To maximize the range, the charger must be within 100ft/30m of the nearest Wi-Fi access point, and no further than 3 ft/1 m from the probe. Watch the included video to learn about range expectations. Hi, and thanks for reviewing the MEATER Pro Duo. If you have already gone through the Support Wizard for the Pro series (link below), please take a look at the contact information that comes up at the end of the Wizard for our Customer Service Team. Even though our online resources will typically resolve most concerns, we still offer live support anytime you need more direct assistance with your MEATER.
I upgraded from the Meater Plus to this Pro Duo and it's an absolute game changer! Moving from my 7 year old Bluetooth AAA powered device to the built-in Wifi and USB powered device creates a much better experience. After a few cooks, the new sensors clearly make a difference.
I love your product. It works great. And I bought it for my daughter and husband. Unfortunately, I bought it day before cyber Friday and I wasn't able to get the deal. It would have been nice if they gave it to me being 1 day off. Oh, well.
I cooked a TBone Steak had really good color. Temp of oven showed on phone temp internal meat showed as well. Tried to adjust temp for internal and could not. Set it to 135 wanted 145 after looking at color of meat. I also tried to flash cook on broil but pulled the probes first thus ending cook.
