Excellent Product! The meater Pro Duo is Awesome versatile cooking tool to track temperatures accurately to desired temperatures from grilling smoking braising deep fry & air fry. Love the app it’s user friendly helpful and fun! Makes cooking a breeze highly recommend it to any chef at any level and it’s easy to clean & rechargeable! Love it

The probes I've been looking for my whole life

Worked flawlessly for turkey. But..I do not understand the lights on the block. When I plug it in it blinks red all the time. It does not stop. I would expect it to go solid non blinking once charged and ready. Confusing. When I remove the probe(s) it goes green as expected, so only perplexed by charging setup. And although the app is great, it could be improved to be more intuitive. Took me hours to figure out how to remove a probe from the app. I also had an issue where the app locked in on a final cook temp of 133 degrees (for turkey) which made no sense. Had to start cook over. But overall I've had great results.

I upgraded from the Meater Plus to this Pro Duo and it's an absolute game changer! Moving from my 7 year old Bluetooth AAA powered device to the built-in Wifi and USB powered device creates a much better experience. After a few cooks, the new sensors clearly make a difference.

Had an original Meater that was great. Decided to upgrade to a Meater Pro plus. It was fine until lately when it would disconnect after about an hour and a half. Tried changing battery but no effect. Thought maybe it's just getting old so decided to upgrade to the Pro Duo. Problem is, the second probe refuses to connect. It's recognized while charging, but as soon as you remove it from the base- no connection (even when it is right against the base.) Love the product when it works, but until they fix the connection issues, I'll probably try something else.

From what you described, the disconnecting behavior on the MEATER Plus after about an hour and a half could point to a connectivity degradation, possibly related to Bluetooth signal strength or internal wear in the probe’s antenna over time. As for the MEATER Pro Duo, it’s encouraging that the second probe is recognized while charging, which suggests the probe itself is functioning and charging properly. However, if it's failing to connect once removed, this may indicate a pairing issue between the probe and base, or a potential firmware synchronization glitch.
To help resolve this, we recommend re-pairing the Pro Duo base and updating to the latest firmware through the MEATER app. Make sure Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your device and that the probe is fully charged before testing again. Master Class - Whole Oven Roasted Chicken

MEATER Master Class FTW!!!
I wanted to try out a MEATERS Master Class Recipe. So I thawed out a whole chicken and gave their Classic Style Whole Chicken recipe a whirl. Very easy to follow step-by-step instructions, so easy a caveman could do it. The whole cooking process was just under a hour and a half. I used butter as instructed in the instructions and dusted the whole chicken with Traeger’s Anything Rub. This is a classic oven roasted chicken recipe and of course the MEATER Pro Duo made for an easy cooking experience. I love that the MEATER Pro Duo monitors the entire cooking process and also records the cooking process so you can look back at your previous cooks if you need to for any frame of reference. MEATER For The Win Again!!!! And the oven roasted chicken was amazing!

48oz Porterhouse Steak meets MEATER DUO

WOW! The MEATER DUO works absolutely phenomenal. When you purchase a 48oz Porterhouse Steak from one of the best butcher shops in the country (Whitefeather Meats aka The Bearded Butchers) you want to absolutely nail the cooking process. The MEATER DUO definitely helped me to achieve that goal. I did the Reverse-Sear Process on my Traeger Woodridge Pro and used both MEATER DUO probes. The first probe was used in the strip side of the porterhouse and the second probe was used in the filet side of the porterhouse. I wanted the monster steak to be rare and the MEATER DUO absolutely nailed it for me. This was by far the best steak I have ever made and have ever eaten. Far better than any high end steakhouse. If you’ve been debating whether or not to purchase a MEATER Wireless Thermometer, put any fears that you may have aside and purchase one, you will not regret it I can promise you that. BOOM!!!!

I bought the duo a month ago and have not been able to use it. Unfortunately I did not know it required Wifi before I purchased it. I am camping at a Florida State park and do not have wifi, which the duo requires. I was offered a refund, but decided to keep it for home use, about 6 months a year.
