I've only done 2 cooks with this so far, both have been great. First cook was salmon, very good. Second cook was chicken breast, best chicken I have ever cooked. Setup was a little challenging on my phone, but I bot it figured out after changing security settings on my phone.

Having difficulty getting these to connect with my phone or ipad. After removing and reloading the app and resetting the Meater Pro Duo I finally got wifi connected and the units paired to my phone, then it required an update. Each time I tried to load the update it failed. Will not advance so after 4 weeks, still not able to use.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we know how surprising setup issues can be, especially when you just want to start cooking. You’ve already done a lot of the right steps (app reinstall, reset, pairing), so we appreciate the patience.
When an update won’t complete, it’s often related to the connection path. A quick workaround that usually resolves it is to temporarily connect your phone or tablet to a mobile hotspot or alternate Wi-Fi network and try pushing the update again. If possible, keep the Meater Pro Duo and the phone/tablet close to the Wi-Fi source during the update.
We want to get you fully up and running, not stuck in setup. If the update still doesn’t advance, please reach out to us through our support page or our phone number +1- 888-407-0303, with your details. Our team will walk you through the next steps and, if needed, explore replacement options.
We’re here to help, and we won’t leave you hanging until it’s working.

I tried the Meater Pro Duo, for the 1st time, using charcoal. As I tend to not pay close attention when using charcoal (doing other prep work in the kitchen), I am prone to slightly under/over cooking steaks. These probes were easy to setup and use...taking the "stress" of not paying attention away from me. I set the internal temp at 135, the app alerted me when to take the steaks off and rest, and when they ready.

Meater Pro Duo works like a dream. My only complaint is the estimated cook time is rarely anywhere near correct up until the final 20-30 minutes. Aside from that it’s fantastic.

Love my new MEATER Pro Duo. Excellent to follow the cooking of my food. Easy to set up and easy to use. Turkey turned out perfect based on time and temperatures. Thank you!

I bought it before Thanksgiving to use for the turkey. It took hours to connect it for a firmware update. I eventually had to use my phone as a hotspot to get it to update, which was annoying. Then on cook day, one of the probes would disconnect if I didn't hold the base right up against the oven. I did get good readings on them, and I was able to make better cooking decisions with the readings I got, but it was not user friendly trying to maintain a connection.
