Not much range from probe to charger. Wanted to use one probe on my deck in the grill and the other in the kitchen stove but with the charger halfway between could not get both probes to stay connected. It’s 10 feet from the oven to the grill. There is a wall in between but was hoping for better distance. I even tried placing it at the kitchen window which is 4 feet from the oven and about 6 to the grill with a direct line of sight.

Hello, and thank you for posting your review of the MEATER Pro Duo. Depending on the circumstances, the range between the probes and the charger can vary. While 10’ should easily be adequate in most situations, some cooking appliances can cause more interference than others. This can include heavily insulated grills and very thick walled ovens, especially if the probe is inside of a metal container or wrapping such as a pot or aluminum foil. However, we don’t want to make assumptions regarding your experience, and there are a lot of resources available to help improve the performance. Please visit the below link to access the MEATER Support Wizard for help with your Duo range concerns. And if you still are not getting the results that you expect, there is an option to contact our Customer Happiness Team at the end of the Wizard for more direct assistance.
Bought it about a month ago. I've had about 5 cooks so far. The app has dropped a few times when I'm away from home. The range from the probe to the wooden base only worked 2 feet through the oven door. Not as impressive as I was hoping for, especially for the price.

Thank you for your review of the MEATER Pro Duo. To maximize the range, the charger must be within 100ft/30m of the nearest Wi-Fi access point, and no further than 3ft/1m from the probe. While the range is 33 FT from probe to charger, this is in open air (line of sight.) Appliances with thick metal lids or walls can limit the range. We recommend leaving the charger as close as safely possible. If you use foil, please ensure that the black ceramic portion of the probe pokes out of the foil. Watch the video below to learn more about range expectations. Finally! The standalone pro is a great probe. Now that they added WiFi in something that is not a paperweight it has been perfected. Great job guys. You nailed it.
Bought this right before Thanksgiving to cook my turkey with. It works great. Being able to just look at the ap and get notifications on progress is a time saver. Unfortunately now I see if I would have waited a week I could have gotten an extra one for free. Be nice if the company would make good on the offer and go ahead and send me the free one.

I bought the duo pro to do my turkey this year and they stressed me out cause thy kept losing connection. I don't know what the issue was but the connection came back several times except for the end before the temp hit the target temp I had to use a regular thermometer. I gave it 2 stars since the info it was giving me seemed accurate even up to how long it was gonna take so maybe mine are defective?

Hello, and thanks for your feedback on the MEATER Pro Duo. There are a few different factors that could be affecting your Duo's performance, but as long as the charger is within range of your router/extender, and no further than 3' from the probe, you should be able to maintain a stable connection. However, it is worth noting that cooking appliances with very thick doors, and completely covering the probe by aluminum foil can sometimes reduce the signal between the probe and the charger. You might also want to make sure that the probes are charging properly, and that there is no residue on the flat end the probes or the contact points on the charger. However, if you do not believe any of this is related, please take a look at the below link to go through our Support Wizard for a possible resolution. And if you’re still not getting the performance that you expect, there is contact information at the end of the Wizard that will get you in touch with someone from Customer Service for more direct assistance.
I recieved this one week ago. I can’t get it to charge or work. Very disappointed!

Hi, and thank you for reviewing the MEATER Duo. If you are not seeing any of the LEDs light up on your charger, it could be due to a few things, from a faulty power outlet (unlikely, but always worth checking) to something related to the charger itself. But without knowing more details it will be difficult to make an accurate assessment here. However, there are various ways to get help through the MEATER website, including a Support Wizard (see link below), an FAQ section, and even contact information for our Customer Service Team at the end of the Wizard. When you have a little time, please take a look through the available resources, or reach out to us if you would prefer some more direct assistance.
