I could not get it to hookup to WiFi, and it wanted to update which wasn’t possible without WiFi. (Issue Not the WiFi)

Hello there, John, we’ve sent you an email with the next steps to get your MEATER Pro Duo connected again. It includes checks for network compatibility, router settings, and alternative connection options. Please review it at your convenience, and if you need further help, reach out to us anytime at support.meater.com so we can assist you directly.
I have had every MEATER that has come out except the block. They were ok until they started having issues. I about gave up on the brand. I learned that the Duo was WiFi and that is awesome. No more dropping signal. The probes are within a half of degree usually. Of course it depends on where they are in the meat in the smoker. But overall, these are a keeper. I like the charging capability and the probes are labeled 1 and 2. Best product they have to date.
Could not connect to the WiFi so could not even set it up… kept asking for an upgrade through the set up, if I follow the upgrade it kept saying that it needs to connect to WiFi first Very frustrating I am need up just returning it

Hi there, Thanks for sharing this. We understand how setup can be frustrating when the connection process doesn’t go as expected. WiFi setup depends on having a solid Bluetooth link between your mobile device and the Block, and we’ve seen that keeping the Block plugged in can help with stable communication from a cold start. If you ever decide to give it another go, we’d be happy to walk through the steps with you and help get everything up and running smoothly. MEATER

Hello Nate, thank you for sharing your experience with the firmware update. This can happen if the MEATER is too far from your Wi-Fi router, if the connection is unstable, if a VPN or firewall is enabled, or if the app version is outdated. Our team can guide you through the steps to address these factors, complete the firmware update, and ensure your device operates as intended. Please reach out to us at support.meater.com, and we’ll work with you personally to get everything running smoothly again.
