As someone who just started grilling and barbecuing, the Meater Pro is definitely a huge help. I see it as an educational tool, especially with temperature control. Just as convenient as it is to monitor the grill, it is a great automated teacher.

When it works, it works great but still the same disconnecting crap from the first generation. It loses connectivity all the time and comes back. I'm not impressed. When it works though, it does a good job
