I wanted to get a few cooks under my belt before leaving my review. The meater duo blows me away, the app is fantastic, and the wifi ability makes it so much more useful. The only negative I can say is I wish it estimated cook was achieved faster.
Two uses so far (smoker and stovetop) and both were flawless cooks. Works even better than I had hoped. App almost makes the cook feel like you are cheating, it’s so easy to use.
The thermometer and the app work great on Apple devices. The claim that the app also works on Android was not true for my pixel 7 despite many times connecting with the support team. When I turned to my iPad the process was simple, easy, and robust

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear the thermometer and app worked well for you on your iPad and that you found the process smooth and reliable. Regarding the challenges with your Pixel 7, it’s possible that there’s a compatibility conflict between certain Android OS updates and Bluetooth Low Energy performance, which can affect how the MEATER app connects and maintains communication with the device. While the app is designed to support both Apple and Android platforms, differences in hardware and software behavior, especially with Bluetooth stack implementations, can occasionally lead to inconsistent performance on specific Android models.
We’re continuing to refine the experience across all supported devices, and your feedback helps us improve compatibility. For now, we’d be happy to continue diagnosing with you or look into alternative solutions tailored to your setup.

Got Meater Duo for fatgers day and my first cook was just awesome!
I love my meater plus which encouraged me to purchase the duo. However, so far I am not too happy with my purchase. Continuously, losing connection with the block which is annoying.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're really glad to hear that you've enjoyed using your MEATER Plus and that it encouraged you to try the Duo.
The connection loss you're experiencing with the charging block may be related to WiFi signal strength, interference from nearby devices, or a setting within the Block’s connection mode. The charger operates in either local WiFi mode or direct pairing mode, and if it's not firmly connected to a stable network, it may struggle to maintain communication with the app or probes. Ensuring the Block is within strong and consistent WiFi range, and that it’s updated to the latest firmware, can often restore a more reliable experience.
We’d be happy to take a closer look and help you get the most out of your MEATER Duo. Please feel free to contact us at support.meater.com, where our team is available by chat or phone to assist you directly.
My product doesn't work. It does not link to my phone.
Response from MeaterBy Traeger Grills, Traeger, July 9, 2025
Thank you for letting us know about your experience. When the product doesn’t link to your phone, it is often related to Bluetooth connectivity or app pairing settings. Ensuring that your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled, the MEATER app has the necessary permissions, and that the probe is fully charged can help establish a successful connection. Sometimes restarting the app or your phone can also resolve temporary connection delays. If these steps don’t improve the connection, it may be helpful to reset the probe and try pairing again through the app’s setup process.

I love the ability to get temps over WiFi and the application is extremely user friendly. The only downside is that the hub has to be extremely close to the probes or it looses signal. If you are doing a roast wrapped in aluminum foil it’s almost impossible to use. And that is with the Meater protruding outside of the foil.
Response from MeaterBy MEATER, MEATER, July 29, 2025
Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the strengths of the WiFi connectivity and user-friendly app. The close proximity required between the hub and probes is related to the signal range limitations, which can be affected by barriers like aluminum foil. This can impact the connection reliability during certain cooking methods. We recommend positioning the hub as close as possible and minimizing obstacles to improve the signal.
