Purchased the MEATER Pro Duo for my husband's birthday and couldn’t be happier. We had an older model that we absolutely loved, and now that I’m learning to grill, I figured it was time for an upgrade—especially since we're cooking a lot more meat these days with our animal-based diet. This product works flawlessly! It’s always accurate, consistently reliable, and we've never had a single issue. You really do get what you pay for—MEATER is worth every penny for its performance and peace of mind.
I've used it a number of times, so far. It works well on 'larger' cuts like roasts and whole chicken. I can not say the same for things like steak. It would also be nice if there was some sort of indicator that the battery needs to be recharged. I have also noticed that the 2 temperature probe register differently when I place them on 2 different ends of the same roast.

We’re truly grateful for your candid feedback about your experience with our product. We truly appreciate hearing how it's been working well for larger cuts like roasts and whole chickens. We understand your concerns about the performance with steaks and the lack of a battery charge indicator. The temperature variation between probes could be due to slight calibration differences or natural temperature gradients in larger cuts of meat. Regarding steaks, thinner cuts can sometimes present challenges for consistent readings due to their size and cooking time. To address these issues, we're happy to share our best practices for using the thermometer with steaks. Our culinary team has developed some helpful techniques in our Master Class on the application. For the battery indicator concern, while the current model doesn't have this feature, we can arrange for our technical support team to walk you through optimizing your probe placement for more consistent readings across different cuts of meat. After charging one of the thermometers would not sync to the phone. I reviewed and performed all of the trouble shooting tips but to no avail. I'll be returning. It's too expensive to not work.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s surprising to hear that one of the thermometers didn’t sync with your phone despite your efforts to get it working. Connectivity problems like this can sometimes result from firmware mismatches or Bluetooth interference, but we understand that a device at this price point should work reliably from the start.

I wanted to get a few cooks under my belt before leaving my review. The meater duo blows me away, the app is fantastic, and the wifi ability makes it so much more useful. The only negative I can say is I wish it estimated cook was achieved faster.
Two uses so far (smoker and stovetop) and both were flawless cooks. Works even better than I had hoped. App almost makes the cook feel like you are cheating, it’s so easy to use.
The thermometer and the app work great on Apple devices. The claim that the app also works on Android was not true for my pixel 7 despite many times connecting with the support team. When I turned to my iPad the process was simple, easy, and robust

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear the thermometer and app worked well for you on your iPad and that you found the process smooth and reliable. Regarding the challenges with your Pixel 7, it’s possible that there’s a compatibility conflict between certain Android OS updates and Bluetooth Low Energy performance, which can affect how the MEATER app connects and maintains communication with the device. While the app is designed to support both Apple and Android platforms, differences in hardware and software behavior, especially with Bluetooth stack implementations, can occasionally lead to inconsistent performance on specific Android models.
We’re continuing to refine the experience across all supported devices, and your feedback helps us improve compatibility. For now, we’d be happy to continue diagnosing with you or look into alternative solutions tailored to your setup.
