I've used it a number of times, so far. It works well on 'larger' cuts like roasts and whole chicken. I can not say the same for things like steak. It would also be nice if there was some sort of indicator that the battery needs to be recharged. I have also noticed that the 2 temperature probe register differently when I place them on 2 different ends of the same roast.

We understand your concerns about the performance with steaks and the lack of a battery charge indicator. The temperature variation between probes could be due to slight calibration differences or natural temperature gradients in larger cuts of meat. Regarding steaks, thinner cuts can sometimes present challenges for consistent readings due to their size and cooking time.
To address these issues, we're happy to share our best practices for using the thermometer with steaks. Our culinary team has developed some helpful techniques in our Master Class on the application. For the battery indicator concern, while the current model doesn't have this feature, we can arrange for our technical support team to walk you through optimizing your probe placement for more consistent readings across different cuts of meat. After charging one of the thermometers would not sync to the phone. I reviewed and performed all of the trouble shooting tips but to no avail. I'll be returning. It's too expensive to not work.

Regarding the challenges with your Pixel 7, it’s possible that there’s a compatibility conflict between certain Android OS updates and Bluetooth Low Energy performance, which can affect how the MEATER app connects and maintains communication with the device. While the app is designed to support both Apple and Android platforms, differences in hardware and software behavior, especially with Bluetooth stack implementations, can occasionally lead to inconsistent performance on specific Android models.
