Lots of wash options but…..

Unfortunately right from the start this washer has given us problems. I was excited about the size of the tub compared to our previous washer and that it balances itself which was also a bit of a problem previously. While it balances itself at the beginning of the cycle, if the laundry is thrown out of whack by the time it hits the rinse cycle then it thumps or it won’t fully spin all of the water out. I have toyed with the controls to try to get the spin strong enough, I haven’t fully gotten the hang of it yet. I have also questioned if the washer is even going through a complete cycle because of how quick it is in comparison to the display shows (example: an 65 minute cycle seems to only take less than half of the time) Also, there are two different fabric softener dispensers. I have tried both with mixed results. Apparently the one in the agitator doesn’t dispense until just as the cycle ends unless you have it on “deep fill” on the rinse cycle and even then I see the softener at the bottom (which has stained some of our laundry). The fabric softener dispenser that is next to the detergent dispenser does ok but once it went out immediately and on another instance it didn’t dispense at all. Just yesterday I had to run my towels through four times to get my towels to the pint of not being too wet to throw into our dryer. When I have chosen the drain and spin option, it has filled up ( I guess to try to balance itself out) only to be just as wet or to not drain at all in which case I just ran them through a whole new cycle with success. This washer is supposed to handle a king sized blanket which I was super excited about, i haven’t done my king size yet but I have done several comforters, one being queen size, with no problems. I have had an appliance repair man come out to look at it and he made some suggestions but really there’s nothing necessarily to fix. We’ve only had this washer for just going on three months now and I guess if I can manage to figure out its quirks, I’ll be alright. I’ll say I’m a bit disappointed that I can’t just push a button and know it will all be okay and the washer will do its job.
