Don’t buy

Washer is under 2 years since purchase and the agitator broke off from the bolt holding it. Can’t get bolt out since it snapped in half. Called to see if under warranty but they said only the first year is covered. Waste of money and bad design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst washer I've owned yet

What a piece of garbage. It's like GE didn't even run this washer to see how it wouldn't work. It's loud, the auto water fill doesn't put enough water in the tub to even get clothes wet, if you use dry detergent be prepared for clumps of detergent. The agitator is absolutely worthless, the rinse cycle, might as well not even rinse your clothes. I think this was a slam together effort for GE to gain something in the energy saver world and they failed terribly. I do not recommend this at all. The only thing half decent about it is the large tub. If you don't have your load absolutely perfect, be ready to hear the tub slam into the sides. You almost think you're hearing the titanic getting ripped to shreds it's so loud.

We are happy to provide guidance with this washer. We advise utilizing the Deep Fill feature to ensure that all the detergent is properly dissolved. This Deep Fill feature gives you total control of water level. Press once for an additional 3 gallons or press and hold to fill up a full 26 gallons.
This top load washer also has water level control and an Extra Rinse option that allows you to use as much or as little water as necessary to get the perfect clean. Love it!!

I love that I can fill the washer and rinse my cap of detergent in the actual water flow because the lid does NOT lock me out!! I also love that I can add my own amount of softener (even tho it has a slide out softener compartment) I add extra softener and again can rinse my softener cap cause the lid does not lock down!!! Only complaint that I would have with this washer is that it does not have a “rinse only” option!! It has a “drain and spin”‘cycle which does not make any sense to me, but DOES NOT have a “rinse and spin” weird…. BUT I do love this washer compared to the others that are out there that do not even let you decide your own water level!!! This one does!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this machine, no lid lock unless it’s auto sensing or spin cycle. You can open the lid when it’s filling and it doesn’t stop. Open the lid when it’s washing and close and it resumes( no lid lock). Love I can select what water levels , wash temp, soil level and spin ! Glass lid and detergent/softener tray is awesome. Clothes are clean and fresh. Love that it is more old school and you can control what you want.

Easy to use/ great features

Just installed today but we have washed three loads so far. All is going well this far. Love the spin feature… clothes are somewhat dry when cycle ends. I must admit it is a little loud. Love the clear lid!
I would recommend this to a friend!

no warm water

There is a problem with getting warm water when the setting is on Normal, warm wash. Only cold water entered tub.

Bleach dispenser ruins everything!

The washer looks great and works well until you use bleach in it. I’ve followed all the directions on the bleach container, and the washer unit, and still 3 cycles later bleach is ruining my clothes. I used it on a load of towels (again, following all instructions) and my towels came out with discoloration/lightened bleach spots and I was disappointed so I was cautious about the next load I did, and I’m glad I was because once again, major bleach spots ruining clothing items and to my great disappointment even the next load I did was RUINED with bleach spots. When you search the internet to troubleshoot this washer and this issue specifically there isn’t much information and anyone else who seems to have experienced this issues just gets the typical reply from the manufacturer “make sure you’re following the bleach instructions.” Anyways, after looking at the bleach “dispenser” you can see that it isn’t connected to anything and basically just free dumps the bleach around the rim of the top of the drum. Hard to explain but such a crud design. Shame on GE.
