too loud

this washer was set up and run thru a cycle, the delivery man said it was loud because it was empty (no clothes in it) But he was mistaken this is a very loud washing machine more than any other I have ever had..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Washer Model GTW585BSV0WS

It is much better than the interim GE model I had for almost three months. But it does not compare favorably to my years old washer with realistic low/medium/high water levels which gave enough water to clean my clothes, towels and sheets and enough water to rinse out all of the suds and dirty water.

We’re glad to hear that you’ve been enjoying your new washer more than your previous model, but we’re sorry to hear that the water levels have left you comparing it less favorably to your older washing machine. Coming from an older washer can make the water levels in modern machines seem less than ideal. The Department of Energy sets standards for washer water usage, and over the years the amount of allowable water has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.
This model does feature water level control, as well as a Deep Fill option, that allows you more control over water levels. We recommend taking a look at pages 8 and 14 of your use and care manual to read about the water level controls and deep fill option. You can find the manual here:

Great model, awesome washer

So far it’s been great, quiet, fast in my opinion. Only put 4 stars because it’s only been about 2 weeks that we purchased and used it. Smaller than our last washer but surprisingly fits a lot of clothes and bedding.

Large Washing Drum

So far it is everything I needed in a new washer based on my previous one. Especially like the glass lid and the estimation of length of cycle I selected. Use of selection buttons can be a little confusing if you didn't read the manual. Like the large stainless steel tub.
I would recommend this to a friend!
