Great Washer
on October 12, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only been a week and so far so good. This top load is so much easier to use than the front load washer I had for 14 years. I should have switched years ago. But, at first I was a little concerned about the noise it made during the agitation cycle but found out that it is normal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer machine is noisy. The controls are confusing and not easy. Overall performance okay. The cycles are too long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like having the ability to select the water level myself. That is the main reason that I bought this model.

Waste of money.. you will regret it.

This washing machine does not get clothes clean. I have literally had to take clothes washed in it to a laundry mat to get them clean. It has no agitation so it's like dipping clothes in water and then spinning the water off. Worst purchase I have ever made.

We are more than happy to provide guidance with this washer. To improve wash performance, use the correct amount and type of detergent, load carefully, and select the right amount of water and settings for your load size. It is also imperative to keep the lid closed during the wash cycle. We have also provided some additional troubleshooting tips for the cleaning performance here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18098

Broken Agitator Screw on 2yo Machine
on October 13, 2025
Posted by: Jake171
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit is just over two years old. No prior problems util one wash I find agitator dislodged. Take it out and hear something jiggling inside. Find a broken 1/4 inch screw holding the entire agitator assembly into the transmission, rusted and broken. The other part is broken off in the heavy transmission gear. Can’t be removed. Replacing transmission - cost and labor -basically the cost of a new machine. Horrible design flaw. Seems like not an uncommon problem. Should have been recalled.

Poor Experience

This washer did not hold up well for me. I've owned for 13 months and the tub interior got scratched up and is now rusting, ruining the last batch of clothes I washed. Warranty lasts only 1 year and the tub is not sold as a replacement part meaning I need to buy a new washer...

Pool water levels
on October 15, 2025

I am not happy with this washer, the water levels does not fill to what I have it set at. I washed queen sheet the other day, I chose, "max level" , the sheets didn't even get covered with water, I had to add water with a pale.

We would like to clarify some information regarding the water level of your washer. The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for Washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With Washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most Washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.
We don't recommend manually adding more water to the Washer. This model has a Deep Fill option which adds additional water to the wash load, regardless of whether you used a manual or a load-sensing fill.
