We'd like to provide clarity towards the sounds that you are noticing with your new washer.

We recommend checking to make sure that your washer is completely level to the ground. This helps prevent out of balance conditions and excessive vibration. Also, ensure that all shipping foam is removed from the unit.

You can view the following article for more information on the sounds that can be normal to hear: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21894

If you suspect the sounds are not from normal operation, we do recommend scheduling service. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393 or by visiting this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

So far it has lived up to it's hype, one thing people should know is when hooking up the machine contains water. It is a bit noisy.

Great washer but noisy wash cycle
on July 11, 2025

This washer is the second one I have purchased over many years. I really like both washers but this washer is a little noisier than the first one. Nothing bad and not enough that it would have made me purchase another washer knowing this earlier. Hope it is as good of a washer as the earlier model.

Major balancing issues
on July 14, 2025
Posted by: Mr Washy
This is about the most frustrating washing machine I've ever owned. When it comes to heavier things like blankets, I hate it. We'll get the good out of the way, with normal circumstances, it does a good job cleaning everything. The features are great, being able to set a timer and customize the cycles, that's all good. So in general, that stuff is all good.
Let's get to the major frustration. When it comes to heavier things like blankets and such, trying to get the load spread evenly is nearly impossible. No matter what I do, how hard I try to even balance the load, the spin cycle always seems to sound like there's sumo wrestling match going on inside of it. The basket smacks around inside so badly that the machine is never in the same place as when it started.
Yes, I've already balanced it. It's perfectly leveled, you can perform a circus act on top of this thing. Yes, I understand that certain materials hold more water than others and I account for this when loading it. Yes, I spread evenly around the outside of the basket. And still, everything is soaked when it finishes because it beats itself up so badly during the spin cycle that it doesn't finish. Which, in turn, results in me having to go and readjust the loads and rerun the drain & spin cycle sometimes up to 3 times.
I've gotten lucky a couple times, had the cycle complete on the first shot. Felt nice not to have to spend all day babysitting the machine and not getting anything else done because I have to keep checking on it. But with my last washing machine, I had a balance issue once with the same fabrics, and figured out the one that was heaviest. Ever since then, i was able to balance it no problem. With this machine, it's taking way too much effort just to try to get it to finish a cycle.
Maybe if you go out and get some special scientific tools to measure density with and without water, line the inside of the basket with special scales, run all kinds of tests. Maybe start a research organization, you can develop special methodologies specific to this washer that will help you perfectly load your fabrics.
So, it's already wasted my electricity, my water, my time, and my money. And I can bet you when the clutch wears out prematurely, but just outside the one-year warranty, it won't be covered under warranty even though I'm making every reasonable effort to use it respectfully.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
