Love the capacity

I love the capacity on this washing machine. I am able to add several towels and sheets which is great! Also you have the ability to change settings for many features including speed, water temp and water levels. Noise is at a minimum. My old washe was very noisy during spinning. NOt so with my new washing machine. I am enjoying it.

Capacity is great, my clothes come out smelling so good, there are alot of cycles you can use easy to use. Quite unless in spin cycle. Love the see through top.

Excellent capacity despite the agitator. Over 10 cycles that cover every situation. Cleans well despite the autosaver water feature. Quiet operation. Easy to understand controls.

So far so good. Love the features. Easy learning curve. I can tell a difference in regards to the quality of the wash. Quality of the overall unit seems to be solid.

Way different from what I'm used to

I've only done a few loads so far, so I'm still getting used to this machine. My old washer was 19 years old, & very basic, & to me, it's weird that this one powers on every time I lift the lid for any reason, forcing me to hit the off button, but I guess I'll get used to that- it just confused me at first, as there's 2 buttons at left & it's not clear in the manual which one is meant by "start". I do love that there's 10 cycles to choose from, to match what I'm washing- & I LOVE the large capacity- this one's much bigger than my old machine. Now I can wash my comforters- no need to take them to a local laundromat. I also love the see-thru top on this machine, & I was impressed when I saw how well this agitator tumbled my comforter & got it very clean. I also love that I can select the water level, much more accurately than my old machine. In fact, I'm also happy that this one is NOT "energy star" as my Kenmore was, & I'll tell you why: I can finally use actual HOT water if I want to. I seldom do, but my old machine was "energy star" & one way they apparently accomplished that was by preventing the use of all hot water- the best you could get was warm, & in winter when the tap water is colder, the wash felt barely lukewarm, if that. From what I can tell, this machine is the right blend of efficiency, with features I want & need. There's still things I don't understand- like what is the difference between "tap" & "cold" water (temp.) selections? And the use of the far right buttons aren't very clear- "delay", what is "eco cold"? & "sound"? The owner's manual could stand improvement. But the bottom line is that this machine did a good job washing my clothes, & I can do much larger loads now if I want to, with a full selection of temperatures, soil level, & spin, including a deep rinse when needed. I very much like the way it shows what is currently happening, & the time remaining- that's helpful. When I first saw the agitator I thought it was "loose" because of the way it "wobbles" in use- then found out it's designed to be effective but gentler on clothes, & when I watched my comforter being washed, it made sense.

We really like our new washer we purchased to replace our last GE washer. Our new washer is the:
GE® 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity Washer with Water Level Control.
This washer has easy to use push button controls and large load capacity. It performs well and is not as noisy as
our last. There are plenty of wash cycles from which to choose including a “Quick Wash” for when you don’t have time to wait. The automatic water level control saves on the water bill. You can choose your temperature, soil and spin levels. You can even save your favorite cycle using the “My Cycle “ button. Overall, we have found this washer to be exactly what we wanted.

Powerful washer

So far, so good. It's a good washer, many features and capable of heavier loads. It's a bit loud compared to me smaller older washer but the clothes are very clean and love the deeper tub and clear top!

Noisy Spin cycle has low tolerance for even smaller loads. Bangs around much noisier than our previous washer. VERY UNHAPPY WITH MATCHING DRYER! Clothes are always damp at the end of cycle. We have to use time dry to get clothes dry.
