Do not purchase!

I have had this washer for exactly one week and it is broken. It couldn't even do 4 loads of laundry and now the balance rods are unconnected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Washer

This washer is easy to use, with clear labels and quite roomy. I tried using the auto water level but it didn't seem like enough water so I switched to medium for my regular loads. My only issue is that it is quite noisy. It does a good job of cleaning clothes, though.

We went from a Samsung front load to this GE top loading washer and our clothes seem much cleaner. It is very easy to operate and does a excellent job!

We love our G. E. GTW585BSV3WS Washer It is not the simple gear driven Dial operated no option model. This is the Digital model with Turn Dial and depress buttons. Offers a great deal for price. You CAN'T go wrong with this unit.

Spin Cycle Poor

Very sorry about this purchase. Lightweight blankets causes the drum to knock and bang during spin cycle and I still need to ring out the water before drying. All this is extra time, extra work, and inconvenience. This is my first GE appliance purchase. The washer was purchased 1 1/2 years ago, but today I experienced the most frustration. If there is an answer please advise. Thanks. 🌹

Love this machine!

I absolutely love this little machine! It works perfectly on all cycles. I love that I can adjust the water level if I want to. The cycles are way shorter than the so called high efficiency machine I had before. I previously had a whirlpool impeller type top loading machine and I HATED that thing. It was off balance most of the time. I could not even was a load of my husband’s underwear (which is NOT heavy!) without all the clothes being somehow piled up on one side. It was super annoying. It also had super long wash cycles. This GE machine does not. I can actually wash 3 or 4 loads in a reasonable amount of time whereas my whirlpool took all day. I also love that this model is made in the USA in KY! The best thing I ever did was get rid of that 3 yr old whirlpool and buy this new GE. I am a happy camper.

Love it so far

I’ve had this washer for one week now. I like everything about it so far. I like the large tub for washing towels, sheets, comforters comfortably. It cleans our clothes great so far. It’s a pretty quiet machine only really making noise when filling with water and going through the spin cycle.
I would recommend this to a friend!
