Awful floating drum

The floating drum is an awful idea. It does nothing but unbalance my load causing it to bang around, no matter the load size. I really wish I could return it but it's been to long.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Major confusion here

For the first three hours, trying to understand the instructions is very difficult. No Complete manual is provided. Attempting to operate the washer is very very frustrating.

It is one of the better so-called "Smart" appliances in the fact that you can override the "Smart-settings." I want the water to cover my clothes, this machine allows it instead of deciding for me that it is not necessary. This machine also has "dual-action" agitation which means the clothes on top get rotated to the bottom & don't lay on top & stay dry the whole cycle. I only give it 4 stars bc the new machines don't have a pre-wash cycle or a stand-alone soak cycle but I think a lot of us have figured the soak thing out. When my 18-yr old Washing machine blew up I was over whelmed by the new "smart" machines, it took 4 tries before I finally landed on this one. Overall I am happy with this machine & do recommend .

So many options!

Switched to top loader and am happy with water levels. Able to wash heavy king size sheets and pillowcases without any off balance issues. This IS louder than my front loader but it seems everyone’s top loader sounds like this. Not horrible, just noticeable after my quiet front loader. I have always been happy with GE products and hope this doesn’t disappoint. I feel clothes are getting cleaner now that I can add just a little more water than front loader used. I’m actually enjoying using my new toy. Now if only someone could fold these clothes ……
