Doesn’t dry. Poor performance. Disappointing for GE. Capacity is good. Low noise level. Uses too much energy due to running multiple times. Controls are easy reach and use.

We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the capacity of this dryer as well as the low sound level. However, we would like to provide guidance with the performance of the dryer. The performance of this dryer will vary based on multiple factors such as type of heat used (gas versus electric), the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation. We have provided some tips to help with the dryer not properly drying here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
If the tips provided do not help with the performance, service is advised. You can schedule an appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
We replaced our old dryer after about 20 years of service so we welcomed the new dryer with all its wonderful features. Very functional, easy to operate and does a great job of drying cloths. This dryer is quiet and can sense when clothes are dry. Overall great dryer for the money.
Very disappointed. looks good but doesn't dry clothes well. Multiple drying cycles required to get clothes even remotely dry.

The settings are not well thought out (normal or fast spin cycle ) . The normal spin cycle leaves cloths soaked.
The fast makes the washed loud and it appears unstable.

Your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass these comments regarding the Spin and Normal cycle along to our product team to review. Since your clothes are still soaking after the Spin cycle, we advise using the Drain & Spin option. The noise level will increase during the spin cycle due to the high-speed. This is normal. We have also provided some tips to help your washer from becoming unstable here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17445
I just had this dryer installed yesterday 7/12/25 , not only is there a metal scraping sound as the drum turns but it doesn't dry my clothes. Three separate loads of laundry and not one has been dry at the end of the cycle. After 79 minute of drying time there were still damp spots all through out the clothes. This is a horrible machine.

We'd like to lend a hand with your dryer. Foreign objects caught in the drum front seal and worn or loose drum slides can cause a metal scraping noise as the drum rotates. We recommend you contact service to check it out. You can schedule a service appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-426-3393 or schedule online at https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
When clothes are taking a long time to dry or do not seem to be drying at all, it can be due to the venting, cleaning and operation, or other causes. Please see the troubleshooting tips here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
