Don't think I'll be getting GE anything ever again

We got this dryer to go with the matching washer we'd purchased a few years ago. I don't know why, because the washer doesn't do a good job & I have issues with it. This dryer is terrible. The sensor sucks, idk if it gets fogged up with moisture & thinks the load is dry (not sure how that works), but on ANY setting besides the timed dry setting, it will run for a bit them say it's finished. The load will still be wet, not a little damp, but Wet. So it's extremely inconvenient to run a load & have to come back to restart it over & over til its dry or guess how much time to set it for on time dry. You also cannot turn the sound off. You can turn the volume down to a point, but not off. It doesn't just go off once either, it goes off every 30 seconds or so at least 5 times until you open the door or turn it off. I'm so sad that we're stuck with this terrible dryer because the One time we didn't get the warranty, this happens. We have a new GE microwave that is terrible too. Never getting GE again. Their quality control has taken a HUGE plunge!

This dryer was returned to the store. It did not dry clothes and sensor would turn dryer off when they were still wet. I exchanged for the same dryer and it did the same thing. It took approximately 3 hours to dry a small load.

We love hearing that your new dryer has been working so well, and that the auto sensing capabilities have left you feeling impressed with how dry your clothes are. Wrinkle care does an excellent job of minimizing wrinkles, and we love the energy saving capabilities of Eco Dry.
