Expect a big project if you want to side vent!

So here's the rub, the dryer is set up for easy back venting, but if you want to side vent, it's a real pain because the so-called "knock out panels" are not that at all. You have to drill and saw them out. Plus, you need to custom cut your internal ducting and get creative at times to secure everything in place. Expect a frustrating job if you need to side vent this dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to assist you with the installation of your dryer. We recommend referring to pages 15-16 of the installation instructions regarding the side venting. You can also refer to the article here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21080
