So far we like the features and ease of use. Love the alternatives for venting options but would have liked knockouts to be easier.

It's just ok. Gotta dry clothes twice,to let dry.Using setting and hopefully things will be better. doesn't get as much lint in basket as previous dryers I've owned. Leaves dog hair on clothes, where as my other dryer didn't.

Hey there! Thank you for sharing with us. We are very sorry that the dryer has not exceeded your expectations. The quality of our products is very important to us, and we strive to build a product that meets our consumer needs. We have provided a link to assist with the drying performance. This unit should not take an extended amount of time to dry normal loads.
The insight you’ve given us will be sent to our design and quality teams for review and future development. We appreciate your time and value your opinions.

not happy

Disappointed with the performance of the dryer. It takes twice as long as our old dryer to dry loads. Our old dryer was also GE and a very similar model. It dried very well, but kept falling apart. I guess it is time for a change to a deferent brand, since our ge washer, witch is same age as our old dryer, in now giving us trouble.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi - We are truly sorry to hear how unhappy you are with your new dryer and the length of time it takes to dry a load. This is not the owner experience we want for you. Some thoughts regarding your concern - using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of your dryer. GE Appliances recommends the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. GE Appliances does not recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. This type of vent pipe can collapse and restrict the airflow, causing lint to build up inside the dryer. This build-up could cause the heaters to fail prematurely and affect drying performance. We also recommend you check for any type of obstruction in the venting or in the wall cap on the outside of your home. If you continue to experience long dry times, we encourage you to call GE Appliances service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule an appointment to have the dryer checked. We are confident our highly skilled service technicians can help. All our best! Vikki@GEAppliances
