Beware of the installation instructions
on July 24, 2025

The manual contained incorrect installation instructions. The manual's measurement for cutting the duct pipe left the pipe too short. In addition, the side knock out hole would NOT knock out! After a very frustrating installation, the dryer itself seems to be operating just fine.

Solid Choice

We’ve only had this for about a week so it is possible my thoughts will change but these are my thoughts a week in. Overall, I am satisfied with the product for the price. Pro: it dries clothes quietly. Con: it seems to take longer to dry than our previous dryer of the same capacity. Also, I’m very concerned about the door. It is plastic and difficult to open. I’m actually worried it might break over time. I only have our previous one to compare it to and that was metal and much sturdier. Maybe this one just needs time to be broken in? I hope so. I wouldn’t say there is anything overly special about this dryer. It drys clothes and has multiple setting options which was a main feature we were looking for.

We'd like to help you with the drying performance of your unit. We recommend cleaning the lint filter before every load. Also, make sure you are sorting your laundry properly by separating heavy items from lightweight ones. You can find additional information in the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058
If your issue persists after troubleshooting, we recommend scheduling service with one of our Bodewell technicians by calling 1-833-426-3393 or visiting us online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

We are very impressed with the overall performance of this dryer. The capacity suits our needs perfectly. The dryer cycles through seamlessly and the noise level is more than acceptable. We love how energy efficient this dryer is. Excellent machine! Definitely recommend!
