[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has not worked since we bought it. Now completely not working and won't turn on. Schedule service and they dont show up. Reschedule and they don't respond! Absolutely ridiculous the amount of frustration and time used to try and have this lemon dryer fixed!

Good but eh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’d love to give 4 or 5 but the dryer def has issues drying towels. For whatever reason I’ve got to do 2-3 cycles of drying for them to dry all the way whether it’s one towel or many. And sometimes on Rey clothes 2 dries are needed as it stops early because the sensor says it’d dry. Definitely quiet though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are sorry to hear that your dryer is not drying your towels as expected. Drying performance will vary based on multiple factors such as the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation. Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. We recommend the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. We don't recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. This type of vent pipe can collapse and restrict the airflow, causing lint to build up inside the dryer. We also advise removing and cleaning the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen. We have provided some additional troubleshooting tips to help with the drying of your items here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still getting used to the new machine. At first towels were still damp but getting better at selections. Like the capacity and glad it is more energy efficient

Purchased dryer on 6-16-25
Delivered 6-24-25
Model GTD58EBSVIWS
Serial LA700048C
I read instructions and tried different cycles
7/24/25
Towel setting: (within 1 minute) changed time from 30 minutes to 14 minutes. Towels were very damp when finished. I put them on timed dry for 15 more minutes to dry them.
8/19/25
Repairman came out. He used his computer and said there was an error code. He ordered a part and cleared the error code.
8/26/25
Another repairman came out to put the in the part. He said there was nothing wrong with dryer. He said he didn’t like our vent in the house. He went to the yard where vent came out. He said we should not have a bag on vent to catch lent. We took it off. He said no part was needed. It was probably the vent.
8/28/25
Normal cotton Setting (dry, high, eco was off): It change the time from 35 to 22. When it had 11 minutes to go, it started flashing sensing (which I thought was an error SE). It then went to 10minutes. At that time I checked the dryer and the items in the dryer were dry before the additional 10 minutes it added.
8/28/25
Delicate cycle: Started time for 73 minutes. When it got to 60 minutes it changed time to 12 minutes. Within 7 minutes it turned off and some clothes were damp, some more wet. I just hung them up to dry at that time.
8/28/25
Active Wear: Started at 28 minutes, after 17 minutes it gave a flashing sensor (which I thought was an error SE). I let it flash for 8 minutes. It switched to 6 minutes and finished. I had to dry for 10 more minutes
9/4/25
Another repairman came out. He said the error code was NOT an error code. It was saying it was sensing. The other two repairman didn’t say it was sensing.
He also checked with his computer. He said everything was fine.
He told me to do what he told his wife, “just use the timed dry only to dry all the items.”
So my question is, “WHY DO WE HAVE THE OTHER CYCLES THAT STOP, CHANGE, SOMETIMES DRY, OR JUST GIVE THE SENSING CODE UNTIL THE UNHAPPY OWNER HAS TO RESET/RESTART THE DRYER.”
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PRODUCT!
Clothes line is looking more like a better possibility!!

Beyond Amazing – The Best Dryer I’ve Ever Owned
on September 13, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely blown away by my new GE dryer. From the very first load, I could tell the difference in both performance and convenience. Clothes come out perfectly dry every time—no damp spots, no over-drying. It’s incredibly efficient, cutting down drying time compared to my old machine.
The controls are user-friendly and intuitive, with just the right amount of smart features without being overwhelming. I especially love the [insert specific feature you use most—e.g., “sensor dry,” “steam refresh,” or “sanitizing cycle”]—it has made laundry day so much easier.
On top of that, it runs much quieter than I expected. Even with larger loads like towels and bedding, it handles everything with ease. The sleek design looks great in my laundry space, and the drum is spacious enough to fit comforters without cramming them in.
Overall, this dryer has exceeded every expectation. GE has really outdone themselves with this model, and I honestly look forward to doing laundry now! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and stylish dryer.
