(Mostly) A Really Good and Quiet Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have been very pleased with the Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher. I usually use the 60-minute wash and have not had any issues with dishes not coming out clean, although I typically rinse all dishes well before placing in the dishwasher. I really like the utensil rack on the top rack and appreciate that there is still a small utensil holder on the bottom rack for larger utensils. This dishwasher also has room for a lot of dishes, it just took me a few times to figure out the best way to utilize the space. This dishwasher is very quiet and you can see a red light on the floor indicating it is running.
I rated this four stars for a few reasons. The racks don't feel as sturdy and roll in and out as well as I would expect from an expensive dishwasher, which gives me some concern for the longevity of the racks, only time will tell. I also have some issues with the design of the middle rack (used for glasses and cups). The right side row is very narrow between the tines and the side wall, only the thinnest glasses fit on that row. The shelves on this rack are more of a hindrance than useful. The slots on the shelf for wine glasses can't be used, they are so shallow that wine glasses tip forward rather than resting safely back in the slot. I removed one of the two shelves, thinking that I could still use the other shelf to place small bowls or lids on, but I will probably also remove that one because it is very difficult to stack anything under it, in front of it, or even next to it. The shelf doesn't flip up so you can't easily put things under it and then secure it in place. It does flip down, but the row is so narrow that virtually nothing fits well in front of it. On a positive note, the middle shelf does have a wide middle section where you can stack bowls, cups or whatever. It is very versatile.
Overall I can work with those small issues and I would recommend this dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using this dishwasher for a few months, and it does the job well, and dishes are clean. The auto air option is also helpful in keeping the dishes dry.
One minor area of improvement is the rack design which is quite plates-centric. It can be improved to better accomodate kitchen utensils of various sizes. The top cutlery rack is nice but also limits the height of utensils in the middle rack. Overall, based on my initial experience, this is an excellent dishwasher by Bosch.

Love this Bosch dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to replace my older model Bosch which was a good dishwasher with this new 500 series Bosch. The new one is awesome. All the features of the old one, but I seem to be able to get much more in it than before. Love the convenience of the third rack, especially when emptying our silverware, no more bending over! Best of all, it came in Black. Keep up the good work.

3rd Bosch DW

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 3rd Bosch DW. Like how quiet they are and great job cleaning dishes. Our prior DW's were 300 series with push buttons and LED display. Preferred the 300 series over the 500 series touch sensitive button and no LED. WI-FI app is useless. Not like I am going to pull up an app on my phone to see how much longer the cycle has to finish. In hindsight sight I should have bought the 300 series again

Great dishwasher, love the AutoDry feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with this Bosch 500 Series dishwasher so far. It’s extremely quiet, cleans everything well, and has plenty of room thanks to the third rack. My favorite feature is the AutoDry function, the door pops open at the end of the cycle and the dishes come out much drier than my old dishwasher ever managed. The black finish looks sharp in my kitchen and doesn’t show fingerprints. Installation went smoothly, and the machine has been easy to load and use. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.
