We bought this machine to replace a dishwasher (not Bosch) that we purchased 5 years ago. That machine was repaired 3 times in those 5 years, and the final time, the tech said it was more cost effective to replace it. So we went top of the line and bought a Bosch.
The Bosch cleans efficiently and is very quiet, and you can program it for the cycle you prefer.
But you can't run a rinse only cycle from the control panel on the machine, you MUST use the phone app. In order to run the rinse only cycle, you have to push "remote start" on the control panel, then go to your phone and tell the app to run the rinse cycle. Ugh. Also, while there is a lot of space for plates, there is NO place for designed to hold bowls. So they must be laid flat which takes up a lot of space. The 3rd rack on top is just about useless. It holds silverware and little things, but you need to individually slip the silverware into slots. The old dishwasher's 3rd rack held glasses, cups AND silverware, and the bottom rack adjusted to allow bowls to stand on the side which allowed more to fit into the space. I deeply regret not replacing with the same brand in spite of the repair issues! I grit my teeth each time I load this expensive machine and have to go get the phone to start a rinse cycle. But it does text you when it's done. Yay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how quiet it is, other than that not liking it as much as my old dishwasher. The racks aren’t conducive to loading dishes. Mine aren’t adjustable except for a couple you can lay the prongs down to accommodate larger bowls on the bottom. The way the racks are arranged makes it difficult to load bigger plates with other items on the bottom. I don’t put my pots and pans in the dishwasher, it’s mixing bowls, serving bowls, etc. I’m running it more since it doesn’t hold a large load of dishes. The top rack for cups is okay but if you add tall glasses they won’t fit without taking the third rack out. I’m not a fan of third racks! Seems all companies are going this route. Bosch is an inch smaller in width. May not seem like a lot but it makes a difference how it fits in the cabinet. To compensate spacers are included during install to hide the gaps between your cabinet and dishwasher. So far I find this model just okay.

Bosch 500 Series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first Bosch appliance, and I am happy with how quiet it is and with the loading options; however, I am not thrilled with the variety of operating options that need to be set through an app. I would rather not need my phone to operate my dishwasher; I should have paid more attention to this before buying this model.

Love my Bosch

So when it came time to replace it, we opted for a slightly better model. It looks good, is very quiet and cleans great. We love the third rack. Helps with all those odds and ends.
Super easy to install (but I am a DIY guy). The app is pretty good too. It's nice to get notifications about rinse agent being low or the wash being done.
Realy happy with our purchase.

Excellent dishwasher

The 500 is whisper‑quiet, cleans flawlessly, and the AutoAir feature leaves dishes bone‑dry without that muggy steam cloud when you open the door. I love the flexible third rack — it fits utensils and odd‑shaped items my old model could never handle. After years with my previous Bosch, I’m thrilled to say the brand still delivers the same reliability but with a huge leap in performance and convenience. Highly recommend.

Great Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to our previous dishwasher from the early 90's, this machine is wonderful. It gets the job done, extremely quiet and the 3rd rack is a game changer. You do have to be careful of how you load the dishes to make sure they are loaded correctly to ensure they dry properly. Lots of setting choices and the app is easy to use. I like that I can see the cycle from the app or the dishwasher. I would recommend the brand and dishwasher to others looking to upgrade. Gets the job done!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my dishwasher three years ago and that "new "dishwasher left my dishes, constantly dirty/film/ and not only do they have to practically pre-wash I had to wash them after it came out of the dishwasher!it did not matter what detergent or rinse I used I had the same result, therefore it had to be the dishwasher. I replace that three year-old dishwasher with the Bosch because of the brand's reputation. My dishes are sparkling clean - night and day difference! I couldn't be any happier with my purchase.
