Satisfying Dishwasher

The items come out clean and dry just like they should. It is nice these days to have a product that works correcly. Installation went smoothly and the whte finish is consistent with our other appliances. Consumer Reports led us to an enjoyable purchase.

Solid Product But Less Usable Space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well-made quality product that we can expect to get years of good use from, but the arrangement of the racks inside leaves something to be desired and its is true challenge to come even close to getting the same amount of dirty dishes into a load compared to our last dishwasher. The top layer has very limited uses and takes away far too much headroom from the middle rack to be considered an improvement. May look at removing it. Other racks also are a bit strange, specifically the directional orientation on the bottom rack.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Bosch dishwasher for 7 years until it gave up the ghost. I loved it. The new one has a significant defect in that the touch controls are unreliable and diffucult. For the life of me I cannot get them to change as described in the manual or website and the degree of "touch" required varies day to day. I yearn for the mechanical buttons. Also, the drying is less complete than provided by my old machine. This is an expensive appliance ... I had expected better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT DISHWASHERS, BUT ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I CAN TELL OVER THE YEARS, THE PRODUCTS ARE GETTING CHEAPER. THE DISH LAYOUT IN THE NEW MACHINES DON'T HOLD AS MUCH. DOOR HANDLES ARE NO MORE. GLASS CLEANER DISPENSER SMALLER. TRAYS ARE INDENTED IN THE FRONT, UTENSIL TRAYS ARE SMALL, AND NOW HOW CAN I CARRY ALL MY UTENSILS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE KITCHEN. WATER CONNECTION SHOULD BE PUT BACK IN FRONT SO I CAN SPOT FOR LEAKS. SEALS AROUND DOORS ARE THIN AND FLIMSY, AND DON'T COVER COMPLETELY AND LET OUT NOISE. DOOR HAS TO BE EITHER LOCKED OR ADJAR SO IF YOU WALK INTO ROOM AT NIGHT YOU BANG INTO IT. THE CHEAPER 300 SERIES HAS BETTER CONTROLS THAN THIS 500. WE DON'T NEED WIFI IN CASE I WANT TO WASH MY DISHES WHEN I'M ON A TRIP. GET ME OR SOME HOUSEWIVES TO DESIGN THIS NEXT TIME, AND THESE ARE COMMENTS BEFORE THE FIRST LOAD.

Northbarts Bosch Series 500 review

This dishwasher performs very well. It does the job as advertised and very quietly, I might add. However, there is a dent in the door that wasn't discovered until the allotted time for returning the unit had passed. This blemish doesn't affect the dishwasher's performance, but it's a disappointing blemish nonetheless.
