The Best Bosch 500 series!

The BOSCH series 500 Dishwasher is the most quiet and effective dishwasher. I love the fact it has an app and how sparkling clean my dishes and glasses turn out. The Bosch is the Best Dishwasher money can buy! Highly recommend purchasing a BOSCH. Five stars and more.....

New Bosch 500 dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are happy with our new dishwasher. One concern was with the user instructions. They are very vague. Even the on line ones. There is no mention of the red light that comes on when the washer is operating. Red lights to me usually mean trouble.

Second Bosch dishwasher, sorry to say

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sad to give up my 20-year-old Bosch when it stopped working recently. The new one is absolutely NO match! Just the releasing of the door latch was ominous--light weight and loosey-goosey. The design is a mystery that the paper info
that comes with it does not solve. I wish that people who put
tpgether info for customers would use simple organization of the print info in clear categories and in logical order. As one representative example of this, the usual (and simple!) "On/Off" button is not marked with those simple, traditional words! Silly to complain of this, since it is obvious by the physical placement on the top edge of the door that this is the "start" button, but the niceties of direct messaging continue to be ignored in the accompanying brochure. (example: why is the crucial "Button A" not more logically identified as the "change cycle" button on the machine edge? Instead we are told it is the "Speed60" cycle.). I have finally militated against the un-necessary elaborations of the new model and its Byzantine instruction brochure by using only the buttons that are basic, although it took a while to determine them! I wish I had my first Bosch back! It didn't rattle whenever the door moved, it was solid and quiet without all the silly
choices for what is still a very basic process--removing dirt from the surface with hot water and soap. (Did I mention that I also paid double for this new iteration?). Sorry to sound so sour, but you asked for my reaction and I would say, in general, get someone who knows how to organize a care manual in print form to re-edit that item and do not assume that we will all just start using our digital links or online sources to use your products! That is silly. Hands on is best; brain and language
can make your product perform with simple, logical instructions. (That accompanying brochure is really poorly laid out and written!--probably because you expect customers to simply link to the digital info, etc. It beats me--twenty years of change not all needed! ("Less is more.")

Waiting to see results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Bosch washer and dryer I have had for 26 years so, we purchased this Dishwasher. Just installed yesterday. We had a bit of a problem with the rear levely leg in that I turned it the wrong way to raise the back and the little plastic gear poped out of place. It took quite a while to see what happened and maneuvering the plastic gear back into place to get it to raise the rear leg again. I ran a test disherless load and the inside is still wet. Sometime this "Energy efficient” crap is not what it is the best. A YouTube video says there is no exposed heating element for "Energy efficient” reasons, and that it is better to put the dishes in dirty so the sensors can use the heat pump method to help dry. We will see over the next few weeks when we host Thanksgiving at our home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the quietness. The light indicating when dishwasher is in use is a real plus. The 3rd rack for cooking utensils is a game changer for loading dishwasher. Have already noticed a drop in water bill.

Disappointed and Frustrated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have heard nothing but good things about Bosch dishwashers from repair people working on other brands we have owned, so it was a shock to us when we got this installed that we can't load as many dishes into it and the racks are absolutely impossible to load dishes and bowls without them laying on each other. This causes clanking noises when washing so the noise level on this is worse than our previous one. Silverware is directed to the top shelf that my wife absolutely hates to use. If we could return this, we would do so without hesitation. It seems to wash ok, but the drying is far worse than other brands we have purchased. I'm giving it 2 stars because it is getting things clean, we just have to hand dry them before we put them away. I honestly don't know how others have rated this so well based on rack layout, noise level and drying ability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
