Excellent, But One Little Quirk Raises Energy Costs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a month ago and it mostly works fine. It is very quiet, as expected, and it cleans. That is what you want from a dishwasher. There is one quirk. Twice now the door of the compartment holding the detergent has failed to open so that the dishes weren't cleaned and it had to be run again. The second time through, the door did open. I'm wondering if there's some trick to closing the door of which I am unaware. I think the price was way too high to get an appliance that does what it is supposed to do, almost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this dishwasher for two weeks and have already had the repair man. I love the way the dishwasher cleans the dishes, but my dishwasher makes a noise throughout the wash cycle. The repair man claims it is the machine cycling, but he has never heard one running. Everyone says how quiet this dishwasher is that they have to put their ear up to the door to see if it running. This is not the case with mine. If you have one of these new dishwasher please let me know if yours makes noise. I am ready to send my back.

The only thing I would change is the spacing on the rack tines--they are too far apart so less dishes fit in.

Old panel does not fit new dishwasher !! So frustrating !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So unhappy that my current (13 year old) custom panel that matches all my custom cabinets, does not fit the new dishwasher. My old dishwasher is a kitchen aid,Why wouldn't Kitchen Aid make the same dishwasher for panels so that when we have to buy a new one the panel will fit ????? Even if I have a new panel made, the stain will have aged and not match the new stained one !!!! So I have a kitchen Aid refrigerator and trash compactor with custom panels, so now my new dishwasher has to be black as the stain would not match due to 13 year old stain on the other appliances. Why wouldn't kitchen aid be smart enough to keep the panelled appliances the same size so the same size custom panels will fit new models ??? ???????
