Great dishwasher, very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second kitchen aide dishwasher. Our first (in another home) was a 39 db model. They both get the dishes very clean and are very quiet. I highly recommend. They only thing with this one is it smells from time to time, but that may be more about the installation than the washer itself.

Disappointing design flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's nice and quiet and seems to wash the dishes well. The drying function still leaves little pools of water on the tops of overturned coffee cups, etc., but dries everything else.
My main issue with this machine is the spacing between the lower and upper racks (not the upper tray, which is removable). We have standard sized dinner plates (10.5" diameter) that don't fit the bottom rack if slotted directly on their sides, because they interfere with the spray arm. To remedy this, we have to put them in slanted on a diagonal, which means that it really limits the amount of dishes we can fit (and probably inhibits the clean quality as well). Really poorly designed. It'd be one thing if it was adjustable, but the second rack appears to be in a fixed position.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am amazed at how well this machine cleans! I had my previous KitchenAid for almost 20 years and appreciated it but this machine is is far better. I never would put casserole dishes in before but now they come out sparkling. That said, the configuration of the racks does not let me load as many dishes and the top third rack is pretty much useless but I would definitely buy this machine again. I also love the “top rack” only wash feature and it’s so quiet you have to really listen to know it’s running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Jaw-dropping Cleaning Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My friends tease me that this is like my new boyfriend, I'm so in love with this dishwasher! I have always bought kitchenaid dishwashers during the 35 years of our marriage, for the quality, function and reliability of their products.
This one, though, is a whole new beast. NEVER expected this. Everything absolutely sparkling, every single time. Baked on, dried on, grease, protein, it just doesn't matter. I cook daily, and this machine just cut my effort in half.
The unit is so quiet I usually have to check if the lights are on to tell if it's running. I have never in my life been so happy with an appliance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfectly Clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this dishwasher. It’s quiet and I’ve never had glasses that sparkle after washing. I used to have to scrap my dishes clean and make the water run hot for my previous dishwasher to work. This one does it all on its own! I only have one concern, the controls are very sensitive and activated just opening and closing the door. I finally realized it’s no big deal because the Power button doesn’t automatically engage.
