Almost perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleans great. Love the 3rd drawer for the silverware. Downloaded the app but haven't really used it much. I would say I'm a basic user who doesn't necessarily need all the bells and whistles when it comes to a dishwasher. I just want a reliable one that does a great job and so far this seems to be the one. However, there are a few items that are annoying and I would change or add. I wish there were more adjustable or addable tines. We have thin glasses and when placed on the middle shelf and you pull out or close the shelf they topple all over. It would be nice to have adjustable holders to support different items. These aren't wine classes with a stem but those wine glass holders are usually useless anyway. Same goes for the bottom drawer. Install more movable parts for all the different size dishes and supply them for us to add.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only done a few loads of dishes but so far so good. I wasn't sure I could handle the small silverware container. I haven't even used it with the 3rd rack. Surprisingly I really like the rack. I thought it would be more of a pain but it's not. Now hoping the racks don't rust out.

Bosh 500 Series Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently installed a Bosch 500 Series dishwasher and it has exceeded expectations in every way. The cleaning performance is outstanding. Even heavily soiled dishes, baked on pans, and glasses come out spotless without needing to pre rinse. The wash cycles are efficient yet thorough and everything dries remarkably well.
It operates incredibly quietly, which is a huge upgrade from our previous dishwasher from another brand. You can barely tell it is running. The build quality feels solid and premium and the rack layout makes loading easy and organized.
So far, we have had zero issues. It runs consistently, cleans exceptionally well, and is a noticeable improvement over our last dishwasher. Overall, the Bosch 500 Series has been a fantastic upgrade and well worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall, happy with the dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my beloved Kitchen Aid with a Bosch, chosen because it has great revies for reliability in CR. As with most things, there's a period of adaptation but overall have no regrets. First and most importantly, the dishes are clean and it seems to get most of the difficult stuff (dried dog food) on the first try without much pre-rinsing. And if it does not konk out after 5 years, I will be happy. But there are a few ridiculous engineering oversights. I passed on a Bosch many years ago because the racking system is not well designed for a mixed load of plates and bowls. I can't put cereal or pasta or cat food, etc. bowls in the racks (tines too close) and when I set them along the sides or on the middle rack, the plates bump up against them, the dishwasher is full after one meal, and the bowls are not secure through the cycle. The silverware caddy is ridiculously small, does not have a separate open area for small non-utensil items such bottle stoppers, etc. And the start/etc. buttons are confusing. To choose your cycle, you must hit "Restart." (Why not "On" or "Select Cycle"? Ironically, there is a restart process but that button alone does not control it!) There is a "clean" light so you know when the dishes are clean -- mine does not work and judging from other reviews, nobody else has a working one either. (One reviewer said it goes on for 30 seconds following a cycle ---but we cannot see it because it is under the counter.) I can't easily tell whether the dishes are clean when I come down in the morning since by then, the light is off. I want one that stays on until I acknowledge it! The remote start has to be reset every single time you want to use it remotely (or perhaps I am doing it wrong, but no manual on this and the QR links do not adequately explain the use of remote start). And the dishwasher is either tightly latched, or it is open 3-4 inches and gets in my way. I keep it open to prevent mildew, and would greatly prefer if the door didn't jut out into the kitchen all the time, but there is no way to get it to sit open just a hair. The dishwasher works quietly, efficiently, and overall there is a lot I love about it. But I wish the engineers listened to consumers before they settled on this design because it could have been a GREAT dishwasher with a few inexpensive adjustments.

Excellent Product .... but ...

Well designed and with the usual attention to detail, engineering and construction. Why no maual? The newer, digital faceplates need instructions and guidance. Your agent was able to walk me through the maze of choices and combinations of directions. She was very helpful. But please, a printed manual would be helpful. Then I truly enjoy this fine piece of equipment!
