Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a long time Bosch customer for decades. My previous Bosch dishwasher served us for nearly 20yrs. Foturnately, the Bosch 500 Series met all of needs along with the latest upgrades in technology and performance. We are EXTREMELY satisfied with it. So quiet we rely on the red light to let us know. Cleans very well and uses very little energy. 5 stars !!!

Super Quiet

This is a very quiet dishwasher and you can hardly hear it running. Overall, we have been very happy with our purchase.

Fantastic Dishwasher

It is so quiet the door light is really necessary to know it's running, and the layout and performace are great. We can fit more dishes in without interference than our previous unit, and they come out clean regardless of how dried on the food was when loaded.

Worth the $$$$!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been waiting/hesitating to buy a new dishwasher because of the cost of a Bosch. My 25+ y.o. Sears Kenmore had been great but it was showing its age. The coating on the bottom rack was wearing off and the metal underneath was rusted. There is not an available replacement rack that we could replace that one with so it was time to say good-bye. We bought the new Bosch, got it delivered and installed. It is wonderful - so quiet and our dishes come out clean and dry since I use the AirDry mode. If it were not for the red light that comes on while it is running, we would not know that it was doing a load of dishes. I have had to learn how to place things in it to get everything in a load as the racks are different from my old dishwasher. I don't use the top rack a lot but probably will do so more as I get used to placement. Not having to worry about plastic items being melted on the bottom rack is wonderful. Really glad that I did my research and settled on this Bosch dishwasher.

Great dishwasher with some glitches

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very impressed with the great job my new dishwasher does cleaning the dishes. Intro videos say you don't have to scrape dishes and it's true - dishes come out clean without scraping.
But, I have found the following glitches:
1. It was not an easy machine to figure out the control panel. The control panel is on the top of the door. It has lights and several programming buttons. The buttons light up when the door is open but turn off when the door is closed! Why can't they be lit up when the door is closed? I didn't find this out in the manual, I had to search it online because I thought there was something wrong.
2. One of the important features to me was "delay start". I found out in the product manual that that feature would only be available thru the "Home Connect" app that you have to set up to not only use that feature but other features as well.
3. The Home Connect app info makes it sound like it's easy to use, but I have found it difficult to use. I FINALLY figured it out after much frustration. I tried to call Bosch support and after waiting 10" on hold, I hung up. I found some help with an online video on Youtube that a customer figured out, but not from Bosch.
I was so frustrated I seriously thought about returning the dishwasher (which I would have had to do within 48 hours per policy of the box store where I purchased it). I could have purchased a different brand that was less expensive, but spent the extra money to purchase this dishwasher because of reading about Bosch's great ratings and dependabiliy.
Fortunately I tried several cycles of dishwashing first, kept plugging along with trying to figure out the app and control panel, and decided I would keep it after all since it does such a great job washing my dishes.
I hope Bosch listens to my concerns, because you seem to have a great product, but I also hope other customers won't have to go thru the frustrations I have gone thru.

Average quality dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed in the quality of this both dishwasher, which replaced another Bosch that only lasted five years due to leaking. This one seems cheaper than the last one, so we'll see how long it lasts…

Love my new Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 15 year old Bosch dishwasher with a slightly upgraded version of the same model. I love it. I will admit that being required to hook it up to wifi was a little annoying, and it took some decent effort to make that happen. but now that it is hooked up to the app, I have access to every feature. we have had the machine working for about three months now. I love how quiet it runs and how clean my dishes get. You will not be disappointed with this purchase
