An Amazing Dishwasher for a Great Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought a Bosch 500 series dishwasher, and it is fantastic. It is so quiet that if it were not for the laser light that points to the floor, I would have no idea it was even on. The dishwasher's Home Connect feature connects to Alexa, allowing you to use voice commands to start a cycle. I set up a simple command, "Alexa, turn on Bosch” and now I can start the dishwasher with my voice. It may sound excessive, but it is a great convenience. The app also tracks power and water use, which is a nice reward. When it comes to cleaning, this dishwasher leaves everything spotless. My biggest tip? Use rinse aid. Without it, you might find a few spots, but with it, you get Bosch's full cleaning power. It is an affordable way to ensure your dishes are perfectly clean. The Bosch 500 series uses a unique air-drying system that involves extremely hot water, rinse aid, and a pop-open door feature at the end of the cycle. This method offers several benefits. For one, you do not have to worry about plastic items melting or warping. It also saves electricity. Cups and plates dry fully, but plastic containers and some pots can stay wet. The pop-open door feature is great and works only if you turn it on. The filter is also incredibly easy to clean; it is simple to remove and wash. Another convenient feature is the single utensil basket. You might think one is not enough, but it saves valuable space, and I have found that it is all you need. The Bosch 500 series have more space than I am used to, due to the third rack for utensils and small plastic items. It is a subtle but stately design choice that makes a significant difference. The Bosch 500 series is a fantastic dishwasher for the price. It is quiet, beautiful, and leaves dishes spotless.

Great new technology!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Benchmark level Bosch dishwasher from 2016, and was offered a chance to replace it with this new 500 series. I was a little bit reticent knowing my Benchmark series unit was top of the line for its time, but my husband and i are both THRILLED with this dishwasher. It still is a super quiet wash, has the awesome 3rd rack for utensils and other small flat pieces, the great stronger corner jets for the pot and pan cleaning does a GREAT job, and lastly our dishes got DRY, which is a new one for us! The door pops open ever so slightly at the end of the cycle/beginning of drying cycle, which allows air to come in and assist with drying the dishes. I think we agree that's our biggest win on this unit. Thank you Bosch!!

Best Dishwasher we have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently upgraded to the Bosch 500 Series Dishwasher, and it has exceeded my expectations in performance, design, and convenience. This is by far the best dishwasher we have ever owned. It was super easy to setup and can be fully programmed and monitored from my phone. The features on this Key Features & Experience: AutoAir Dry: this.is one of the greatest features I have seen on a dishwasher. At the end of the cycle, the door automatically pops open to let fresh air in, which helps dishes dry more completely—especially plastics—without leaving water spots. We can literally take everything out and put it away without any extra drying. Quiet Operation: it’s so quiet that I hardly notice it’s running. There is a small floor light that shines while the cycle is in progress, which is a nice touch since it really is so quiet.. RackFlex System: The adjustable RackFlex design gives a lot of flexibility. The third rack on top is perfect for utensils, spatulas, and such, freeing up space in the lower racks. Performance: Dishes come out spotless, even after skipping pre-rinse. The powerful spray arms and precision wash system handle baked-on messes easily. Our first test was on an older crockpot that we were thinking of replacing. The zone wash cleaned it so well that it is now back in full service. Everything comes out looking like new. Design & Build Quality: The sleek stainless-steel interior not only looks premium but also resists stains and odors. The control panel is simple, intuitive, blends nicely, and is tucked out of site while closed. No pets or little hands simply reaching over and messing with it. Energy & Water Efficiency: It uses less water than our old dishwasher, and the Energy Star rating gives peace of mind knowing that we will be saving on utilities. Final Thoughts: The Bosch 500 Series balances quiet performance, excellent cleaning power, and smart drying technology. If you want a dishwasher that blends seamlessly into your kitchen while delivering consistent results, this model is worth every penny.

Want SQUEAKY Clean dishes? Bosch is where it's at!
on October 7, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bosch 500 Series is legitimately the absolute best when it comes to just how clean your dishes will come out. I have used GE, Samsung, Kenmore and Whirlpool and using the exact same detergent, the Bosch makes everything absolutely "squeaky clean" it's as if absolutely 0 grease/grime/sticky residue is left, trust me, it's a different you can definitely feel with all other dishwashers. They sure all clean well but Bosch has some sort of magic that makes everything THAT much cleaner, absolutely love it!
Another big win is the configuration of the bottom drawer. The inner section is the common setup of all tines going "horizontally" (from side to side) and it fits lost of dishes BUT the outer section flips this 180 and then there's 2 rows that stack "vertically" (from front to rear) and this is what allows the medium and smaller plates to fit in so much better than if both had been the same. You'll notice this in your regular dishwasher as there's usually a bit of wasted space when stacking large with medium/small plates. Definitely a very "German" approach to space utilization. The one thing I don't like is that only 1 cutlery tray is included, the manual kinda pushes you to use the 3rd rack for this BUT this is way much more time consuming as you need to lay your cutlery in neatly within each slot vs just dropping them in at the bottom. I ended up ordering another since I found myself filling up that little tray way before the dishwasher was full.
The upper rack is pretty generic but not in a bad way, it works for all your mugs, cups, small bowls, etc. The thing I like the MOST (and maybe this is where the magic of the squeaky clean dishes comes from) is the handle is used as a spot for the dishwashing tablet to drop to when the lid opens for the main wash, this allows the tablet to stay here vs dropping to the bottom of the dishwasher and completely dissolve (my whirlpool ALWAYS had a small residue in there so I definitely appreciate this).
The 3rd rack is a very handy addition to catch those little items that are always so hard to find a place for because they either slide through the tines and fall to the bottom, or take up the room of where a plate/cup would go. I use this mostly for my many pyrex lids, tongs, spatulas, lids etc etc, it allows for one very organized, very large and very clean load each time!
Then there's the Bosch / Home Connect app, it is definitely the most robust and feature loaded one of all the ones I've tried! It has a full suite of settings (even custom ones that aren't readily available such as "rinse") as well as custom ones that can be saved as a "favorite". In all honesty I use the "auto" mode 90% of the time since the dishwasher uses turbidity sensors to "see" how dirty the load is and how much or little it needs to run to keep it clean BUT having the rinse only option as well as the "extra quiet" option on the app is used more often than I realized I would. Comparing it to the Samsung app (which was my favorite before I had the Bosch), this one has tons of videos that show you how to properly load the dishwasher, how to use its features, explanation on the cleaning modes, energy consumption, time to completion, etc etc. It feels like overlaod at first until you get more familiar with it and then you'll find yourself using it more than you realize. Or you can just simply select "auto" on the dishwasher and forget it and let it do all the figuring for you and have very, very squeaky clean dishes. If there were half stars, I would have given this a 4.5 instead of 4 just because of the lack of a 2nd cutlery tray, no frontal display that allows you to see how much time is left on the load (you either open the door temporarily and there's a 2 hr + , 1-2 hours, less than 1 hour remaining) indicator or check on the app) when my samsung shows a time to completion that I check often, and that it's not the absolute quitest that I've tried. All in all though, if anyone asks me if I'd recommend this, I'd have a very resounding yes! You won't regret it especially with the solid reliabilty that Bosch dishwashers are known for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are hard on dishwashers as a large family who cooks a lot. We have had several different brands of dishwashers over the years and prefer Bosch for its reliability and efficicacy. This DW has kept up with our demands. I was unsure how I would like the top rack for silverware but now I actually prefer it. It makes unloading a beeeze and fits a lot. The power cleaning corner is useful for pots - no need to scrub! I love that you can program the door to open at the end of the cycle- our dishes are DRY. Over very happy and would recommend.

Quiet, Powerful, and Spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer looks good and feels solid. The first thing that surprised me was how quietly it operates; my wife ran the first load, and I didn't realize it was on when I walked into the kitchen. Actually, the only way I knew it was on is because it has a subtle red light shining from the bottom to signal it's running. It's powerful, and we've yet to notice any food remnants after a wash. The Zone Wash section really does work, and it's a time saver; I don't have to scrub pans and pyrex dishes in the sink before putting them in the dishwasher. The three racks allow for a multitude of ways to load dishes and silverware, and the attention to detail for layout is noticeable, as I'm able to fit a ton of stuff into one load! I appreciate the variety of cycle settings, and I really like the AutoAir feature, where the door automatically pops open for extended drying at the end of the cycle. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the Bosch 500 series, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone in the market for a new dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before we move to Florida, we had a Bosch dishwasher in Alabama. When remodeling our kitchen in Daytona, my wife insisted on nothing but a Bosch dishwasher. They are superior and cleaning, and the quietness of the machine is unmatched. When it comes to washing dishes, you can't be the Bosch.
