[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew I needed this. I have been eating pizza nonstop and have zero regrets. It's sleek, sexy and compact although a bit heavy. It comes with a mixer, paddle and spiral hook with a breaker bar. There is a knob to turn for the settings and has a built in timer. The bowl can handle big batches of dough which is great for making doughs you can freeze. Cleaning was very easy as well. If you like to make pizza or bread, it really is a step up from a kitchenaid. I love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mixer is a serious contender for those looking to mix larger batches, heavier ingredients, or want to look svelte without sacrificing function. The attachments are unique in how they mix compared to my previous big name brands; instead of mixing at a center point, it will spin the bowl itself to blend around the edges of the bowl. This has completely eliminated the need for me to stop and scrape the sides of the bowl. It also includes a shield for the top which is much more useful than the one I previously had on my other machine. It encloses more and allows me to open the hatch instead of having an open hatch the entire time. Because it is blending on the sides of the bowl while fixed at the back, I don't have the same amount of flour or confectioners sugar going everywhere out of it like I did in the past. The dough hook is probably the most initially noticeable difference in quality you'll unbox. The hook is a beast! It is so thick and able to handle a large amount of dough without getting bogged down. It blended my dough beautifully with so much extra room in the bowl, I could have easily quadrupled this recipe without a problem. I then tried a regular paddle mixer to produce light and fluffy mashed potatoes. I will say that I blended until I felt my family would like it, which still had a few smaller chunks visible to the eye but impossible to recognize in the mouth feel. I had them going on a medium setting so I certainly could have gone at a higher speed to really beat out every spec. I was able to put an entire 5# bag of potatoes in the bowl with plenty of room to spare. That was not possible with my previous mixer due to the shape of the bowl, and I would constantly have potatoes or added milk chucking out the sides. This was not a problem whatsoever with the Halo and I so appreciate it because cleaning up was vastly easier. None of my recipes had spillage over the sides. I also did a whipped topping for a cake, using the whisk attachment. I will say this was probably the most difficult attachment to put on since it is a double attachment system where you have to manually screw on a portion of it. This might be problematic for somebody with dexterity issues. I did notice that with the amount of space in the bowl that the smaller topping amount with the whisk spread out more. The recipe called to whip for 5 to 7 minutes, however I believe with this style of blender that you would need to make adjustments to the time in order to not produce butter. I love the fact that I can set the blender for a specific time. Also, it is so much more customizable with the speeds, I am able to have 5% increments rather than a strict 7 speed.

I really like this mixer. Historically, I've used a Haussler Alpha with a removable bowl. Because the Haussler has not breaker bar, it's really not useful for smaller batches. The Ooni excels at this and is super easy to use. The two recommendations I would have to improve it are (1) Timer - instead of just a countdown timer, there should be a stopwatch mode to time how long you've been mixing. (2) The lid should be more robust (it feels a bit flimsy) and more importantly, should be balanced, so that it will stay open when you add ingredients. For instance, if you're making brioche dough, it would be great to have the lid stay open while you add the butter. You can, of course, completely take the lid off for this process, but that add's an extra step and I like to keep the lid on for any in-bowl bulk ferment to prevent airflow from drying out the dough.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a professional piece of equipment that can be used by just about anyone. I bake religiously and upgraded to this from my standard mixer. This Ooni is a step above and beyond that. All my recipes have turned out better because of this thing and I could never go back to a non spiral mixer. It runs so quiet, is easy to clean and has so many speed settings that I hardly ever have to hand knead anymore. Even my most delicate recipes I use this for. Five plus stars. Highly recommend
Finally a professional spiral mixer for home use at a competitive price with great features! I would never purchase a unit with a fixed bowl and dough hook making clean up difficult. The Halo bowl is large and removable as well as the dough hook and bar making this so easy to clean. It's small enough to fit into a cabinet and light enough to easily move around the kitchen. A spiral mixer is a must for developing the gluten. I have a planetary mixer and all it does is spin the dough around the bowl. Thank you Ooni!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ooni Halo Pro Spiral Mixer is absolutely incredible! It put my old KitchenAid to shame. I broke it in by making a big batch of pizza dough and was highly impressed. Just because it’s from Ooni doesn’t mean it’s just for pizza! I also made a cake and was delighted with the results! It runs quietly considering the power it carries. Speaking of power, it had no problem handling with the pizza dough and the dough released nicely from the hook. This mixer has unique dual kneading spiral technology, not usually found in household kitchens. It has a large 7. 3 quart capacity stainless bowl which nicely holds the included flexible beater, whisk, spiral dough hook and removable breaker bar, when not in use. Even though this is a spiral mixer, the bowl is detachable and dishwasher safe, highly convenient. The head tilts and also has two lights that shine brightly into the bowl. The digital control panel includes a timer and 58 levels of RPM. All this and it looks very stylish on my countertop! I highly recommend this machine
It exceeded my expectations. Am impressed by the features as well as by the build. Made my first 100% biga (72% hydration) pizza dough yesterday and it came out perfectly. Being able to choose the speed by RPMs is a great feature. I purchased this as a replacement for my KitchenAid bowl lift mixer, which always seemed to struggle with pizza dough and needed considerable baby sitting to avoid overheating. The Halo had no trouble.
