Just works

In the six weeks I have had the Halo everything I have made with it has turned out great. Bread, pizza balls, chocolate chip cookies, breakfast bars, cinnamon rolls, boxed cake mix…no failures just improved what I have made with the Kitchen Aid. I have not worried about amounts and will the recipe be large enough for proper mixing since the bowl is larger than the KA. I just made the recipe and no problems so far. I have doubled my dough recipes and Halo handled with ease (up to 4 loaves of bread). I would recommend it without reservations. Have not had it long enough to comment on durability of machine or attachments but have had no problems to date.

Ooni Halo Pro Spiral Mixer
on June 24, 2025

I have a different mixer that I’ll keep for light weight, small batch doughs. My Ooni Halo handles big batches of stiff dough like breads and fruitcake. Thought my other mixer was going to burn out trying to mix those.
The Ooni Halo is a bit louder than my other mixer but it stays where I put it. The other mixer bounces across the counter and the head becomes unlatched so I constantly have to monitor it. Therefore a ten minute mix with Ooni is 10 minutes I can be getting other things done instead of standing over the mixer.
I really like the spiral mixing. I don’t feel the need to scrape the sides of the bowl. Everything mixes well. I’m always scraping with my other mixer.

Great mixer and Easy to clean!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the prettiest mixer ever! It was super easy assembly, the settings are incredibly easy to use, the bowl is huge. And this is the easiest mixer to clean. Way easier than the kitchen aid. The noise is little to none. This thing is awesome. 10/10.

The Ooni Halo Pro has changed my baking life.
on June 21, 2025

As an artisan bread baking enthusiast, I have been disappointed with my baking results after coming home from the classes I take at the San Francisco Baking Institute. In my home baking environment, my baguettes in particular have never matched the quality we achieve at SFBI. Until now. The Ooni Halo Pro has changed everything! I had two different stand mixers before I got the Halo Pro, and neither could produce the kind of strong gluten development the SFBI commercial spiral mixers gave me. With the Halo Pro, I can observe the exact moment when my doughs reach that perfect mix, the perfect nexus of elasticity and extensibility. The Halo Pro has truly made my baking life a joy!

I like this mixer, but the bar does not keep the dough from climbing the dough hook, at least with low hydration doughs.
