As a hardcore ooni fan owning four pizza ovens at different times as well as a host of a lot of pizza tools it only made sense for me to get this mixer not only to up my pizza dough game but also help me in my day to day as a private chef who makes his own bread, rolls and desserts. The ease of the set up and the fact that you can remove the bowl for clean up while still getting the professional quality results of a floor mixer made the purchase worth it.
It’s has about the same noise level as my kitchenaid mixer but can handle double the amount of the dough. It’s made perfect brownies and whipped eggs whites up to perfect peaks for my soufflé.
I had been either hand kneading or using a kitchen aid stand mixer and could never quite get the gluten where I wanted it. The Ooni Halo Pro does the trick and really brought my pizza dough to the next level. I want her and read about every review and comparison I could find and don't yet seem to have any of the issues identified. It's not too much louder than my KA, it opens and closes well and generally feels well made. Sure I'd like a belt drive mixer, but right now the price difference just as t worth it for me. Overall very happy. Wish I didn't have to buy the useless (to me) accessories. Leave them out and drop the price!
I spent the better part of a year debating new mixers for pizza and sourdough and landed on the Halo Pro. So far the doughs I’ve made have been next level. For the price compared to the Sunmix Easy 6 it’s a great entry level dough mixer for novice bakers. 10/10 would recommend
I've been using this mixer since November 2025 and have had fantastic results! This mixer paid for itself with 3 months of savings from not buying mediocre overpriced take-out pizza.
