I would love to give you a good review. I don’t know if I like the mixer yet because I can’t find any recipes or directions on how to use it for sourdough and bread making need some kind of book.

Just Like the Mixer I Used in a Bread Bakery

I used to be a professional baker. Like many I dove in with producing sourdough breads. My old Kitchen Aid wasn't cutting it. I wanted a spiral mixer like what I used to work with in the bakery. This mixer is perfect. It has upped the quality of my bread products and it is a joy to clean and use. My only recommendation is recently someone gave me nesting mixing bowls with lids and the largest one fits the bowl of my OONI. I worry when that lid goes I won't have a replacement. MAKE A Bowl Lid! I use it to proof my dough in.

I love the Ooni mixer

This has been such a pleasant experience to make my bread making day a joy instead of a chore. It is a strong mixer and holds 2 large loaves at a time. It strengthens the dough so well, and enhanced the rise and quality of the bread. So happy with this upgrade for me!

So far, I have only used 3 times to make sourdough bread, but It has not disappointed in performance. it worked the dough perfectly. It would be nice if Ooni sold a smaller accessory bowl for smaller baking needs. Even knowing that they don't, I would still buy this mixer. I would buy a small accessory bowl if they offered one.

I received this as an early Christmas gift after burning out the motor on my KA. I had high hopes for its performance with sourdough dough, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The gluten development is incredible. I finally achieved an open, lacy crumb with my high-hydration dough (85%). I bake 2-3 times a week with my micro bakery, and this tool has completely transformed my baking experience.

A Home Bakers Dream Machine

I’m a Sourdough baker and typically make 3-4 loaves a week for family and friends. The first time I used the Ooni Halo Pro I thought I was pushing it at @4K grams TW…it didn’t even breath hard while mixing! The dough had a wonderful “window pane” developed in short order. I would have had to have used my former mixer twice to create this amount of dough. In my experience, I believe the conjunction of the bowl and dough hook turning with the bar keeping the dough from “climbing’ made all the difference! I had the Ooni Halo Pro parts all cleaned up and reassembled on my counter before the first set of stretch and folds were due. My hats off to Ooni for making such a quality mixer that I do believe I’ll be passing down to one of my children, hopefully many years from now!
