noticable change in dough texture

compared to the dough i made in a kitchenaid mixer the ooni is quite a bit more developed and elastic, dough rises faster, possibly due to dough heating while mixing. the final rise is about an inch more in height. love it

Looks sharp, but falls short on performance.

Despite its sharp looks, this kitchen tool falls short of my expectations.
The accessory for whipping is no competition for that of a planetary machine.
The paddle is also no match for a planetary.
The mixer does its job, but is loud whiny and clanky noise.
Looking sexy is ok, but performance is top priority.

Great mixer!

This mixer is amazing! No more grinding gears when I try to make a large batch of pizza dough or bagels. The gluten development is so much better than what I used to get with a traditional stand mixer and much more efficient. The mixer is easy to use and clean. There is friction caused by the rotation of the bowl and the hook that will result in dough temperature increase, but my workaround has been to put the bowl, breaker bar and hook in the refrigerator while you measure out your ingredients so the dough doesn’t overheat. I love this mixer and am so happy with it! Thank you, Ooni!!!! My Halo Pro Spiral Mixer is the best!

Good try Ooni but in my experience it doesn't replace hand kneeding.

It is generally a well built and a nice piece of kit but I'm yet to achieve the same quality of dough that I achieve with hand kneeding. You also need to be very aware of dough friction heating which makes the dough very sticky, make sure to keep dough as cool as possible.
There is evidence of flex in the main hinge when kneeding and sometimes the lid doesn't latch up properly.

Great mixer. Only issue is the plastic cover keeps falling down when placed in up position while mixer is on.

So far I’ve made a large batch of pizza dough and a large batch of chocolate chip cookie dough. It handles everything I throw at it. Highly recommend!

The Ooni spiral mixer is an incredible machine that has exceeded my expectations. It is extremely well built and has the capability to make any dough I desire. It mixes small or larger amounts of dough. It has helped me to take my baking ability to the next level. Highly recommend this mixer to any serious baker.

In 10 min I made 5 dough balls (less than half capacity), which quite honestly were the best dough balls I had ever made.
