I hate giving anything 5 stars, especially when it has one or two small quirks. Nevertheless, I am very happy with this device after one whole week. First the disclaimer: I have been drinking coffee for decades, but am fairly new to specialty coffee and pourers – take that for what it's worth. I strongly suggest that anyone seriously interested in buying this brewer go watch the reviews by James Hoffman and Aramse on YouTube, I pretty much agree with them.
In the pour over mode, this brewer is great so far. Once you set up profiles for individual coffees, especially those furnished by Fellow, the results are pretty impressive with the small basket that works up to about 450 milliliters. The batch brewing in the bigger basket is as good as I've found with the higher end competition. To be fair, if you are doing primarily batch brewing at the same temperature, other machines (like the Moccamaster) have longer warranties, are made with less plastic, and are simpler to operate.
Fellow provides detailed downloadable profiles for a number of coffees, and I think all the coffees that they sell in their Fellow Drops program. Personally, I wish Fellow would coordinate a way for users to share profiles for all coffees on their site, and would profile more, but I'm also using Drops because I'm lazy (and so far happy with the coffee).
If you are seriously interest in obtaining the optimum extraction with an automated machine, this one is awesome so far. If you just want a batch the same way every morning, this one will do it fine, but that's not its claim to fame.
Issues: See Hoffman and Aramse reviews.I do feel that the brew benefits from a stir before pouring, which means opening the carafe lid and using a spoon. I'm not a thermos expert but if I wanted the coffee to be hot for more than, say, 30-45 minutes (this is a guess), I'd probably decant it into another vessel. Initially, it's fine. The carafe is well made, and so easy to get my hand in to clean unlike others. My biggest regret is that there is no way to watch the shower head working into the slurry; I can only see the grounds after the cycle has finished.

So glad I preordered it. By far the best coffee brewer I have ever owned. Beautifully designed and makes perfect coffee every time. Honestly have nothing negative to say about it, I love this thing’

Nick and the fellow crew crushed it on this. Comes extremely close to my pour overs yet my family that doesn’t want to fuss enjoy it just as much. The versatility from 1 button press coffee to detailed brew parameters is unmatched.

I have had this less than a week and I love it! I am excited every morning to brew coffee. I am even brewing decaf in the afternoon so I can have more.
Everything about this design is so incredibly thoughtful. I love the double walled coffee pot that keeps the coffee HOT! I love how the water tank detaches also.
Finally, the coffee! What a star. I can say confidently I will not be going to coffee shops any time soon. This makes the best pour over I've ever had.

I like most things about this coffee maker. Other reviewers have covered all the great things and the shortfalls. My missing is because at this price, I'd expect a carafe that at least attempts to be insulted. Maybe it's intentionally thin-walled to allow cooling a larger batch down to drinking temperature more quickly, but by the time I get to the second cup of a 500ml brew, it's room temp.

Amazing! It's amazing and the app still doesn't have functionality yet. I've made pour overs by hand for years and I do enjoy the process. But with the Aiden I can get the full taste of a pour over but made and waiting for me when I get out of bed.
