We have adored our Aiden!! We use it for both single cup pour overs and large pots when we have company over—both versions taste like the chemex pots and v60s we make! I love the ability to hone in every detail for both pots and cups of coffee—it’s been such a great addition to our coffee obsessed home :)

Overall good coffee, interface for creating brew profiles could be better, as well as the hinge on the water reservoir makes it slightly hard to refill.

We love our Aiden Precision coffee maker. It produces a delicious brew every time. We have run into some issues since having it for several months. 1. the basket handle broke on us a couple weeks ago, this is simply an inconvenience, however we have only had it a couple months so I expected it to be a little more durable. 2. When we try and brew a full pot of coffee the sensor tells us to add more water at the end of the brew..but the pot is already full and cannot hold any more liquid. So if you do what it says and allow the brew to continue it will over fill your carafe and cause a mess. So again, we just ignore the message to add more water and cancel the brew once it maxes out the carafe. This is inconvenient but does not affect the overall quality of the coffee.

Excellent Design and Execution

Aiden is an excellent coffee maker and makes brewing both large and small amounts of coffee nearly perfectly truly brainless. The UX with the display could use a little work, with the dial bob not always registering every click on a 1-to-1 basis and going backwards in the menu is a bit of a drag, but you get used to it fairly quickly and I rarely find myself needing to make more than a couple of clicks to get the brew going.

Not your average coffee maker. Very precise coffee maker. If making coffee in the morning is part of your morning routine this is for you. The app is easy to use but could have a leaning curve for someone not tech savy. Overall great coffee maker and i would recomend for someone who loves coffee

Fantastic coffee maker

Fantastic coffee maker. Had a Ratio Six before and it was hit or miss depending on the coffee I was brewing. Pretty much everything I brew is single origin so it can mean a lot of variation between bags. Aiden’s ability to customize brews has been fantastic for this. I’ve gotten much more consistently great cups with Aiden. It’s especially great when you get beans from fellow to use with their recipe. Some of the best cups I’ve had.

Great Temperature Control Makes Batches Pour Over Quality
on October 27, 2025

I bought the Aiden in April 2025. Prior to that I spent two years making coffee for myself and my family via pour over. While we all loved the quality of the coffee there were days were we would have liked a little more. We generally like strong, dark roast. The key to not getting a bitter brew is lower temperature water.
For us, that is where the Aiden shines. It allows me to make a batch of coffee using my pour over recipe. And the pot of coffee is consistently of the same quality as my pour over. Probably even better because I can change the water temp from pulse to pulse. Bloom at 93 c, pulse 1 @ 90, pulse 2 @ 87, and pulse 3 @ 85. As the coffee becomes extracted the cooler water avoids pulling the bitter, harsh flavors at the end.
The other unexpected win is that I actually prefer my single cup pour over from the Aiden. Once again, it is probably due to a greater control of the water temperature. With my single cups, I will make light and medium roasts. While I enjoy the light to dark flavor profiles, my family sticks with medium/dark.
One of my measurements for if a product has met my expectation is the question, if it breaks, would I buy it again. As long as that happens after a good long life, the answer is yes. Absolutely!
So, the cons, and I knew about these before I bought and they are not a bad as I was prepared for.
Build quality. It is solid and the fit and finish is really good but there is a lot of plastic on the outside. But, it looks very nice and easy to clean. (I own the black).
Carafe. I love the pour of the carafe, but it isn't as effective at keeping the coffee hot for more than a couple hours. I pour my wife’s late morning cup into a Yeti which seems to be working out.
I don’t use the app as much as I thought I would. First of all it logs me out all the time and I got tired of re-entering the password. It didn’t connect all the time. And, once I got my recipes set up, it was just as easy to make the slight adjustments on the front panel. I haven’t tried it in a while so the first two issues may have been resolved in an update.
That is pretty much it. In the 6 months that I’ve been using it in conjunction the Opus grinder I have been very pleased with the cups and batches brewed. I’ll still do a single cup now and again with the V60 or Aeropress. But, only because I want to compare the flavor profile. Because, after all, isn’t that part of the fun?
If you enjoy dark roast coffee or want to get pour over quality in your batch brew, I definitely recommend trying the Aiden.
