Coffee is great when it works but the machine is finicky?

I made about 6 brews before the machine got a little confused and stopped working well? Sometimes some brews continue the countdown without finishing the full brew, leaving me in a weird state of half brewed coffee. Otherwise, when it works, the coffee is delicious and the concept is great!!

This thing makes great coffee but way over engineered. Why in the world would you need a magnetic interlock in the basket. My magnet has fallen out, rendering the machine useless, are you kidding me! If you’re not smart enough to put a basket with coffee in to make a pot, good luck!

So I’ve been using this the last couple days and I’m conflicted. I love fellow products but the display screen is annoying to navigate, the app is not working, and the screen has rebooted twice already. My biggest annoyance is the coffee does not stay hot for a long period of time in the carafe. And there’s no heating element to the base of the machine to keep the coffee hot. Honestly I wish I stayed with my moccamaster.

Aiden makes pour over easier but the reason I purchased it over a moccamaster was for the integrated app. The interface is buggy and it doesn’t keep accurate time. Maybe I received a lemon but wishing I wouldn’t have waited 3 months and went with the mocca.

Great Experience so far, with a few observations.

So far, I'm impressed with the coffee that is produced by Aiden. I already had a bag of beans from Valor (my favorite local roaster in Alpharetta, GA) open when I received Aiden. It was the “Guatemala Finca Las Moritas” and was delicious using Aiden. This morning I opened the Onyx “Yabitu Koba” that shipped with my machine and brewed it using the pre-installed profile. Very easy and a delicious result.
I look forward to trying the cold brew feature, but have not done that yet. I need to figure out the recommended grind size for Aiden’s cold brew since other brew profiles tend to recommended a coarser than expected grind size.
Despite the great results, I do have three things I’d like to point out. First, it would be nice to have more granular settings for amounts and temperatures. I like using Fahrenheit for my temperature, but use grams and milliliters for my beans and water. I have my setting on imperial and I know I can see the metric amounts in tiny font on the screen, but I wanted to share these thoughts. Secondly, there is a bit of a lag when you press the wheel to select a menu item. Not a huge deal, but I’m constantly wondering if I really pressed the button or if it’s just the lag in response. I find myself having to click “back” a lot as a result. Thirdly, I’m quite disappointed that the app is not ready. I anticipate that it will be easier to enter information using the app.
I look forward to trying more coffees and hope that more roasters start providing brew profile information (Valor this is for you if you happen to see this). I know Fellow Drops will probably have this for most coffees, but I prefer supporting my local roaster.

Beautiful, but...

Astetically, it's a thing of beauty. Great features but not necessarily intuitive. My biggest problem is the carafe not keeping the coffee hot enough after the first pour. Incredibly disappointed.
