Works well, makes excellent coffee

Received Aiden last Friday. Canned profiles for dark, medium and light seem to work well. I took 1 star off because the app is not yet fully functional. It is much more convenient using Aiden than it is doing a manual pour over and the coffee tastes better than we were able to achieve manually.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not to love!

I ordered my Aiden in April and was so excited to finally receive it! It does not disappoint. It is so easy to use and I love the different options you can select for brewing. I was a little apprehensive with all the instructions. It brews a wonderful cup of coffee. I am also impressed how warm the coffee stays in the carafe. The ONLY reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I have only used it once as of this writing. I think it's probably a 5 star product. I'd also like to say, I love that it takes up less room on my countertop and looks a lot more awesome than my old one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Delicious coffee, not dialed in quite yet

The Product is beautiful and easy to use. It makes an excellent cup of coffee, and the profile feature is a nice way to dial in a brew for a specific bean. The promise of the machine however is not there quite yet - here are the areas that need some focus:
1) The App doesnt do anything yet. Fellow has promised that "profile editing, sharing, & more" are "coming soon". The expansion of features delivered though the app was the most compelling thing to me in my purchase decision, so getting a constant stream of useful features will be critical for me.
2) The coffee doesnt stay hot for very long in the pot, so you need to try to transfer the brew to another container that holds the heat better fairly quickly. Updating the carafe would be a great move in the next gen.
3) Alerts (app based or on device) would be helpful for things like low/no water, and replacing the filter/beans before your next scheduled brew. I've had my morning coffee brew over previously brewed grounds (yuck!), and had a coffee partially brew since I didnt have enough water in the machine.
4) Although I put the device in sleep mode, there are times when i look over and its gotten itself out of that mode and is sitting on a menu item instead.
5) It would be nice if Brew profiles included grind setting for Fellow's coffee grinders. I have an Ode Grinder and it feels silly that the optimal grind setting is not included in the instruction set.
6) I want to be able to add more brew profiles. The idea of buying coffee from the roaster with all settings dialed in is super compelling, and I can't wait till this is offered on the regular.

Great, quality brewer, that could use some improvements.

I got it at launch and it definitely makes a good cup of coffee. If I'm willing to program in the brew profiles I want, I can fine-tune to make a great cup. That said, there could be some improvements. 1. Us pour-over snobs are accustomed to brewing using grams of coffee as our base measurement. I would love to see an update where the Aiden asks me how many grams I'm brewing and then tells me how much coffee that'll make based on my profile, rather than ask me how many ounces I want and then tell me how many grams I need. I don't know how many ounces I want. I make 24 grams one day, 20 another, and 30 another. Just let me start with that. 2. The clearance isn't high enough for many types of taller, thermally insulated containers. If it had maybe an additional 1/2 inch of clearance it would fit every use case I've had so far. 3. Allow me to "back" out easier. It's hard to back out of a menu and sometimes I've inadvertently started a brew I'm unprepared for when I was just trying to back out. 4. Some filters are unbleached and need a hot water quick-soak to flush away impurities or a possible "paper taste." It would be great to add this as a function of brewing a cup with a "continue" button once we're ready. Aiden has a lot of promise and is a good brewer that would be great with the improvements mentioned.

Good looking and compact size

Not as good as expected. Default screen should be the clock, not “Guided brew”. Took a while to get the water to coffee ratio correctly - recommended amounts of coffee are way high for my taste. Didn’t love the first included coffee. For all of its safeguards, it still functions if you accidentally leave the top to the carafe off and step away while it’s brewing. A huge mess. It’s beautiful tho!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing results but not (yet) perfect

Most importantly the coffee is delicious. For those that prefer the pour over method will be pleasantly surprised with then results, especially when you need a lot of coffee. While primaryl plastic it is still very well made and machine is beautifully crafted.
While LED display is easy to use and intuitive, only wish is that all programming is done through the app instead of using the dial to program. Currently app isn’t used for anything actually but hoping this will change with a future update.
Perhaps an option for a better carafe that can keep coffee hot for a much longer time? That would require a stainless steel top that fully closes but that’s just sub idea. :-)
