Not very intuitive - scheduling function is hit or miss. App has no workable features that I can tell. It’s a pretty design but functionality is disappointing

Great coffee but some flaws which takes away from the overall coffee experience.

Great coffee but too many plastic parts. Also the carafe is thin and does not insulate anything. Poor and cheap tin. My black n decker carafe was much better.

Bricked itself first hour

Received last week after waiting four months. Turned on, set time, put on my network. Realized the application is not even at an MVP state yet. Ran just water brew with no grinds. After done was using front dial to do another. Interface froze. Powered off by unplugging cord as there is no power button. Plugged back in. Nothing. Black screen. Dead. Unplug, plug, dead.
Ok, new product I'll contact support they'll ship a new one out. These things happen. Nope. Contact support. Tell them everything I did for their own troubleshooting purposes. They respond to reboot my router. I explained again this thing is bricked they mis interpreted something.
When the product isn't ready you better have good support. When both are at 1 star levels, I'm done with Fellow entirely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing

Used this machine for over a month now. Good coffee, but very disappointed in the time it takes to make a batch brew, as 10 minutes after it says it’s ready, there is still lots of water in the basket. There are also way too many residual grounds that make its way into the carafe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful, sleek coffee maker

There's a lot to love about the Aiden and just a few negatives. I signed up for the Aiden several months ago, so I received once it was released about a week ago along with 3 bags of interesting coffees, which was an added bonus for sure! The things I love about it are the sleek design, removeable water tank, the ease of the display, the ability to make a single cup of coffee, the shower head water dispenser and overall opertion of the machine and quality of the coffee. It is a beautiful machine, and the size is perfect for my countertop and upper cabinets. I love not having to use the carafe to fill the water tank. The Aiden water tank is removeable, so you can take it directly to your water source. The tank is clearly marked for getting a precise amount of water. The display is easy to program and simple to follow (even for a non-technical person like me). The single cup filter basket is a great feature, I love being able to make just one cup at a time (there's one negative to this which I highlight below). The shower head water dispenser gives great coverage to the beans, which is something my old coffee maker didn't do. I believe this results in a superior cup of coffee. Overall, I love the coffee this brewer makes!
There are a couple things that take some getting used to. For starters, the carafe is metal and completely opaque. I'm used to being able to look at the carafe to see how much coffee is available. Since the carafe is opaque, you have to remove the carafe from the base, then remove the snug lid to see how much coffee is remaining. On the one hand, the metal carafe does keep the coffee hot for hours, but in a household with multiple coffee drinkers, not being able to easily see how much coffee is remaining isn't preferred. I also wonder if the metal interior imparts a flavor to the coffeee. I love the Fellow/Carter mugs with the ceramic coating, and would prefer a ceramic carafe to this metal one.
Another negative is on the single serve basket. With the Aiden single serve basket, there isn't a shut off valve, so after the coffee cup is brewed, it continues to drip. This is slightly irritating, but I've just learned to put another coffee mug under it. In contrast, the larger basket shut off works extremely well, but it isn't the easiest thing to fill. If you place it is the filter box and dump the coffee grounds into it, static electricity causes the grounds to adhere outside of the filter, and therefore to go into the carafe during the brewing phase. I hold the filter and fill it outside the box to avoid that. The shut off valve on the bottom is rounded, so you can't easily place it down on the counter to fill it.
Finally, the brew time is slightly longer than my other brewer, but this isn't a showstopper.
Overall, I'm pleased with this coffee maker and look forward to brewing with it for years to come.

Almost amazing

This coffee maker is great - it makes consistently awesome coffee. My morning routine has vastly improved. I initially wasn’t sure I wanted this coffee maker, because it is expensive, and I am ultimately glad I bought it. I got to use one at a friend’s house so that helped. I was making pour overs myself, and kept getting distracted partway through the process. The machine does not get distracted, so things ultimately are higher quality.
I will say - I do not love the UI. I wish that Fellow had included a back button, instead of relying only on the wheel. The screen is obviously a square screen with a circular aperture on top of it, which feels quite lazy. The water tank is a weird shape, and has a handle that protrudes into the opening at the top which makes it awkward when pouring in water.
Hopefully Fellow takes these things into consideration on the next version. I would say I am a lazy user, not a power user, so I have found them workable for the time being.
I would recommend this to a friend!
