Expensive, but really good

Only had this for a week or so, but the coffee I’ve made so far has been great! I am excited to really dial everything in with the brew profiles, lots of experimenting to do, but the default profiles make some really good coffee as is.
It’s expensive, there’s no way around that, but the quality and customization that is available is unmatched by any automatic machine I’ve used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cool new coffeemaker

Although I just recently purchased this product, I can say that it is indeed very intuitive, obviously well-engineered and made, and aesthetically very pleasing. The coffee does seem to taste much better than my previous coffeemaker. Not sure if, however, if this is the "new machine" effect; time will tell. But so far very pleased.

Matching the settings for the roast makes a bigger difference than I expected.

Distracted Coffee Nerds Take Note

This is *the* brewer if you’re looking for a consistent hands off pour-over cup. I love the ritual but there are mornings when I just need the cup. Grind your beans, drop them in the filter, push Instant Brew, and walk away. It’ll give you a great coffee every time.
Construction gets dinged a bit but nothing I’d consider a deal breaker. The square interface in a round display UX can be addressed in updates. Editing profiles in the app is my primary need and it does this nicely as of Dec 2024.
Wish list - build a repository for user submitted profiles and the corresponding roasts which fit them.

Super Solid and Convenient

Let me preface this by saying this is my first drip maker, so really I don’t have a comparison, this is my starting point. For the last few years I have been an Aeropress lover, it’s fairly quick, easily customizable, and easy to clean, what’s not to love? As my schedule has been changing, and I have less and less time in the morning to invest in my coffee routine, I’ve been looking to automate as much as I can. This Aiden is easy to use, makes really great coffee, and takes 5 min to brew and clean, with almost all of that time being automated, meaning I have time to get other things ready. The coffee has good body, excellent smell and flavor, and a smooth finish. It does lack the feel of Aeropress, but only slightly. I’ve been using the light roast setting (customized on the instant brew setting), with 20g coffee for 2 cups brewed in the single serve basket, and 42g coffee for 4 cups brewed in batch basket. All coffee ground to medium coarse (level 8 on my Oxo conical burr grinder). The coffee is boutique shop drip quality, never feeling over or under done. It took a few attempts to dial in my grind setting and weight, but after that initial period, I have my system, and I believe it to be very good. I’d have no problem offering my brew to any barista who’d want to try. The app, while you CAN download it, doesn’t really serve any purpose at the moment, maybe I’m missing something, but I doubt it. I won’t judge the coffee experience off of that though. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to maintain, the Aiden is a solid grade A machine. It looks nice too!

Great look. Coffee not as good as I expected it to be compared to standard coffee maker. Wish carafe kept coffee warmer longer. Wish there were better instructional videos and guides for people like me with very limited technical expertise.
