Great on ergonomics, great on brewing. A few snafus I'd rather not have.

This is a unique coffee maker with more options than I'll most likely never use. But they are there for the offing, just in case I get adventurous with my brewing. I love the cubist design and have referred to it as my "Mecca' in the Kitchen. There are two things I do not like: (1) the water level indicator in small and almost translucent type on the reservoir is hard to read. I use a Brita bottle instead of tap water and while pouring it is very difficult to read, requiring me to stop, look, pour a little and then proceed again. (2) I got the app, connected it to the coffee maker with Bluetooth and all seemed good. But since then, whenever I open the app, there is an endless rotation of the little time wheel and the app does not connect – no matter what I do with the coffee maker. Sucks.

Great Machine for all Levels of Baristas

This coffee maker is awesome! I previously had an automatic “pour over” coffee maker from another company and although it was great, it only had the simple feature of an automated pour over. The Aiden is amazing in that it tells you exactly how much coffee to weigh and add based on the number of cups you want, it has different settings to brew different roasts perfectly, it sets a schedule to have it ready at the perfect time with guidance on how to brew. I am a pretty simple pour over home barista but these additional features with guidance have really kicked my brews to the next level with zero effort, just the click of the dial. You will not regret buying this, even if you already have another automatic pour over machine. Pair it with the Fellow Opus Grinder and Talley Scale and you are dialed.

Best. Coffee. Brewer. Ever.

We can’t say enough positive things about our Aiden! We have been researching brewers for months and finally decided to take the plunge…we’re so glad we did! The removable water reservoir is perfect, the carafe is solid and easy to clean, the tech features are so impressive, and the machine is much sturdier than anticipated. My only complaint is the carafe being 10 cups vs. the 12 I would take to work with me everyday with our previous pot. But, I’ll live!

Really like the features and.performance of the Aiden. Some have complained about the fit and finish. Yes we would all like sturdier devices but added costs would be necessary and not worth it for me.

I hate giving anything 5 stars, especially when it has one or two small quirks. Nevertheless, I am very happy with this device after one whole week. First the disclaimer: I have been drinking coffee for decades, but am fairly new to specialty coffee and pourers – take that for what it's worth. I strongly suggest that anyone seriously interested in buying this brewer go watch the reviews by James Hoffman and Aramse on YouTube, I pretty much agree with them.
In the pour over mode, this brewer is great so far. Once you set up profiles for individual coffees, especially those furnished by Fellow, the results are pretty impressive with the small basket that works up to about 450 milliliters. The batch brewing in the bigger basket is as good as I've found with the higher end competition. To be fair, if you are doing primarily batch brewing at the same temperature, other machines (like the Moccamaster) have longer warranties, are made with less plastic, and are simpler to operate.
Fellow provides detailed downloadable profiles for a number of coffees, and I think all the coffees that they sell in their Fellow Drops program. Personally, I wish Fellow would coordinate a way for users to share profiles for all coffees on their site, and would profile more, but I'm also using Drops because I'm lazy (and so far happy with the coffee).
If you are seriously interest in obtaining the optimum extraction with an automated machine, this one is awesome so far. If you just want a batch the same way every morning, this one will do it fine, but that's not its claim to fame.
Issues: See Hoffman and Aramse reviews.I do feel that the brew benefits from a stir before pouring, which means opening the carafe lid and using a spoon. I'm not a thermos expert but if I wanted the coffee to be hot for more than, say, 30-45 minutes (this is a guess), I'd probably decant it into another vessel. Initially, it's fine. The carafe is well made, and so easy to get my hand in to clean unlike others. My biggest regret is that there is no way to watch the shower head working into the slurry; I can only see the grounds after the cycle has finished.

I have had the coffee maker for about a month. I like everything about the coffee maker except for the carafe. If you make a full pot (10 cups), it is next to impossible to not spill coffee when pouring. It works reasonably well when brewing 8 cups or less.
I would recommend this to a friend!
